International Standard Job Title CULTURE MARKETING MANAGER, MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB BASED IN KUALA LUMPUR The Culture Marketing Manager has the overall strategic and operative responsibility for the Opinion Leader & Culture Events program in his/her region. Translating the global culture marketing strategy into a national strategy and creating a locally relevant and innovative program are the key task. He/she is responsible for building and maintaining a strong network of artists and creative Opinion Leaders. Additionally he/she develops new concepts and ideas, evaluates the effectiveness and impact of our existing programs and aligns closely with our media business entities. He/she contributes with his/her work to the overall national marketing and business goals inline with the set international culture marketing strategy. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Culture Projects and Programs : - Translate the International culture strategy into Red Bull event programs and concepts relevant in the country, - Create and execute high quality events of all scales and leverage international projects and programs. - Establish and run long-term culture and music platforms as stand-alone or part of a global initiative. - Plan and realize an efficient 3rd Party events program. - Plan and realize efficient branding strategies for Red Bull projects, and 3rd Party events. - Ensure efficient logistic and event tools handling. - Identify Best Practise Examples and develop case studies. - Manage partnership and sponsorship negotiations. - Negotiate and secure relevant music rights to ensure all created content can be sufficiently utilized via our media business. - 2. Work closely together with sales, communications and brand department. Artist Program / Opinion Leader - Translate the culture strategy into a national Artist / Opinion Leader program - Establish a rich network in the fields of culture in general and music in particular to be aware of new upcoming trends and movements. - Establish a strong portfolio of key artists to work with on various projects and programs within the World of Red Bull. - Take care of an optimum usage of the Red Bull product in focused cultured playgrounds by Opinion Leaders and secure a perfect communication about the brand and the product. - Drive “Can in hand” and product placement with key artists and in defined key areas. - Negotiate with artists and labels on cooperation deals. - Negotiate and secure relevant music rights to ensure all created content can be sufficiently utilized via our media business. 3. Quality control and Return on Investment - Evaluating the results and final outcome/impact of all activities. - Documenting all activities in comprehensive way and create case studies where applicable. - Surveying the proper appearance of Red Bull in all areas of entertainment/culture and business. - Ensuring a qualitative approach and evaluation of all opinion leader activities. - 3. 4. Budget responsibility of the total national Culture Marketing budget. Strategic responsibility for the culture program in the country that - contributes reaching all national marketing and sales targets. - creates and maintains an outstanding Artist / Opinion Leader network. - delivers culture and music projects and platforms where adequate. - contributes to Red Bull’s worldwide success due to innovation and unique content. People- and knowledge management - Coaches and educates the Field Marketing teams (if applicable). - Secures the top-quality implementation of the culture program in the field. - Guide and motivates the team for delivering innovative projects - Works closely with on premise, communications and brand department in constant alignment on all key measurements and activities - Identifies Best Practise Examples and develops case studies in combination with Red Bull International for the field. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS 1. University Degree or multiple years of working experience in a professional business environment. EXPERIENCE 1. Working experience, ideally in a music / culture related environment, allowing a vast understanding of the culture landscape. 2. Experience in dealing with Artists and related entities (Labels, Management…) KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1. Strong management skills: Team of specialists, leading external agencies, freelances. 2. Fluent in written and spoken English and country language. EDV (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.). 3. Interested and open to different cultural playgrounds. Creative and innovative mind set, open for new things 5. Well connected in different culture scenes and environments – good net worker 7. Clear understanding of global entertainment, music and culture industry, as well as a firm understanding of youth Culture market & scenes in the country.
