Competition began to get strategic this moon, with some teams chosing to pull in their best
fighters to the home arenas to inspire the crowds and get some wins. This moon saw the fist
of the injuries and controversies that are sure to intensify throughout the rest of the cycle.

The Wolf and Thunderstrike were able to remain abroad this moon, due to the fine
showings by Emerald and The Plague of Arkenstone. The Iron Spider of Harradon
paid a visit to the Arkenstone Arena and had his way with the Rakash, known as
the Knife. All in all though, Arkenstone had one of the more civilized moons of
combat.

In Felnar, blood feuds ruled the day, as the Rakash known as the Broken Blade,
declared a feud with the Grue Elf Shadowdancer over some percieved insult. In
the end, Shadowdancer prevailed, but disgraced the unconcious body of the
Broken Blade for all to see, causing more tension between these two fighters and
prompting an official recrimation from Harradon itself.

Gerik of Kandor spared no measures to introduce himself to The Dirge, a Grue Elf from
Harradon's team when they met in the Arena. Gerik dismantled the elf in short order,
toying with him as he maimed limb after limb until the Dirge was too helpless and dazed to
even surrender and then finishing him off by smashing his skull before the arena teams
could end the fight. While healed, the Dirge is not expected to be able to continue the
tournament due to severe trauma.

Son of the River came to Purk for a fight and he got that and more as he faced the
collussus, Bull of Fury. The Son of River was technically proficient and entered
the fight with a winning strategy, but then couldn’t seem to cause the Bull enough
pain to make his strategy work. He was seen striking blows that should have
crippled an elephant, but the Bull shrugged them all off and returned them tenfold
to the Son of River. The Purk Dwarves, Tempest and Thumper, also made short
work of the twins from Sarden who apparently thought their fortunes would
improve with travel. They didn't.

The controversy over the T3 Twins continues in Sarden, despite some of the best
matches ever seen in the arena. This moon, saw the great rematch of two of the
giants in this league, The Hammer of Sarden and Thunderstrike. These two rivals
battled for almost an hour before the Hammer was able to penetrate the defenses
of Thunderstrike with a blow of sufficient force to end the fight. This moon saw
the defeat of the fierce dwarf from Purk, the Hound, by none other than the Hart, a
crowd favorite in Sardon. The Wolf of Arkenstone and the Giant saw victories this
day as well.
