MTC-600 for Multiple Time Zone Clocks OPTION 940009-01 This Master clock is designed to use the output circuits to correct Wired-Synchronous wall clocks for different Time zones. These Time Zones may have different Daylight savings Time dates. Programming of this MTC-600 is similar to a standard master clock. The differences are; 1. Holiday programming is not used. 2. The duration time is the difference between the master time and the time zone time. This may be set between 1 and 23 hours. 3. The On Time and Off Time are programmed as the DST dates for the Time Zone of each channel. Programming is accomplished as follows: 1. The first step after installation is to do a bulk memory erase. This clears the memory and sets up information used to calculate the DST dates. STEP 1 2 3 4 5 6 PRESS MODE MODE MODE MODE CANCEL INDICATION PROGRAM CONTROL Duration Begin, Month, Date Erase Erase COMMENT Enter Security Access Code Display will display :88 then return to normal time Return to normal operation 2. The next step is to program the number of hours to add to the master time for each time zone. The master clock only adds time to adjust for time zones. Examples: a. The Master is in New York. Circuit 1 is for London. In January neither New York or London are on DST. At 1:00 P.M. in New York, it is 6:00 P.M. in London or 5 hours ahead. 5 would be entered as the duration for circuit 1. b. The Master is in New York. Circuit 2 is for Houston. At 2:00 P.M. in New York it is 1:00 P.M. or 23 hours ahead (technically 1 hour behind) in Houston. 23 would be entered for circuit 2. STEP 1 2 3 4 5 6 PRESS MODE CIRCUIT AHEAD/ BACK ENTER CANCEL INDICATION PROGRAM CONTROL Duration COMMENT PROGRAM CONTROL Select Circuit to be programmed Set the number of hours for the Time Zone The display will blank momentarily Return to normal operation You may program all 6 circuits by repeating steps 3 -5. You may review the programmed hours by pressing the Review button during the above procedure. The Review LED will light and the programmed hours will be displayed. During the Review procedure, a time may be canceled by pressing the CANCEL button. To exit the Review mode, press the REVIEW button a second time. The Review LED will extinguish. P.O.
