pre-inspection of your room. Cleaning Standards to be provided

Schedule a Final inspection once you get a firm TMO date
 Final inspection will be the duty day prior to your departure
 If you depart on Saturday, Sunday or Monday your final
inspection will be scheduled on Friday

 When taking Leave In Conjunction With Official
travel, the use of government airfares are strictly
prohibited TO AND FROM leave points. These are
your options…
•
Self-procure from BWI (AMC Travel) to your LEAVE point, then
from your LEAVE point to your new PDS. TMO will provide a
LICWO Letter for reimbursement up to the government
constructive cost from BWI directly to your new PDS
 Or…
•
Self-procure from BWI to your LEAVE point, then from your
LEAVE point back to BWI for continuous travel to new PDS.
Continue on government procured flight. No LICWO Letter.

overseas places listed in the orders. The travel will be selfprocured, leisure through SATO, and reimbursement is
authorized up to the cost of the direct route to the next PDS.
• Military members and their command-sponsored
dependents may obtain approval for circuitous travel in
connection with PCS travel (including separations and
retirements) to, from, and between overseas areas only.
• Apply at least 120 days prior to MPS. It has to be stated
and approved in your orders.
CONSECUTIVE OVERSEAS TRAVEL (COT)
per AFI 24-101, Chap 3, para 3.11
• COT is a free airline ticket up to the gov’t constructive cost
to your HOR or cheaper location. For example… Aviano
AB to HOR (or equivalent) to new PDS.
• You are authorize COT if you are PCSing from an Overseas
location to another Overseas location, and it must be
stated in your orders.
• The sponsor and command-sponsored dependents are
authorized if PCSing from one overseas point to another
overseas point.
• You can defer your COT… However, it must be stated in
your orders.

 If pet spaces are unavailable or the pet exceeds weight
restrictions the member is solely responsible for
shipping the pet with a commercial airline carrier… it is
highly recommended to set AMC travel 90 days out.

 Q: What if the rotator is delayed?


The TMO office will re-book the official travel tickets based on
priority.
 Example: Members who will miss a RNLTD
 To meet an official class start date
 To meeting a connecting rotator
Members can also call the airline directly to have official
commercial tickets change without any cost to the
member or the government.
• SATO after hour emergency number will assist only if
the Aviano Passenger office is closed.
FAQ…
 Q: What if the rotator is delayed and I have
purchased commercial airline tickets and hotel
reservations?

TMO cannot allow the member to fly commercially based on
leave plans. It is HIGHLY recommended to get trip insurance,
as a delayed rotator is not justification for re-booking members
for commercial travel.

and Border Protection (CBP) to be either Household
Goods (HHG) or personal effects; consequently they
are not eligible for duty-free treatment on entry to the
United States. Since imports of wine/alcohol are subject
to state regulations, it is very important that you do
some homework before you ship your wine collection to
the U.S.

Clearing Community Housing

A minimum of 30 days written termination notice must be provided to
the Landlord by registered mail or hand-carried
 If hand-carried, be sure to get landlord’s signature indicating
date/time of receipt (keep a copy for yourself)


Arrange a pre-termination walk through with landlord immediately after
notification and not less then 15 days before termination to allow time to
resolve any discrepancies identified
 Do not use your deposit to pay your last months rent



Temporary Lodging Allowance
(TLA)

As per JTR, USAEUR 37-4USAFE, and AFI 32-6001-USAFE Sup 1
Outbound TLA is authorized

The TLA period upon departure should not exceed the last 10 days
(3 days if residing in GRHP) before the day the member departs the
PDS in compliance with a PCS order.

EFFECTIVE DATE OF PCS ORDER:

For a member being separated/retired, the last day of active duty.

The date the member is required to begin travel from the old PDS
to arrive at the new PDS, home, on the date authorized by the
transportation mode authorized and/or used.
 Extensions due to military requirements, at no fault of the
member, may be considered on a case-by-case basis
 Extensions for more than 10 days must be approved by 31
FW/CC.
