Transfer Agreement: Associate to Bachelors
The following associate degree programs from Merritt College have been evaluated by
Colorado Technical University and they have been determined to be satisfactory in meeting the
minimum requirements for admittance to the following Colorado Technical University bachelor
degree programs delivered through CTU's Virtual Campus. Students who have completed these
programs from Merritt College will be enrolled into a bachelor degree program at Colorado
Technical University and will be awarded 90 quarter hours of transfer credit. These students
will then take the courses equaling 180-182 quarter hours of total credit through CTU's Virtual
Campus. Students will be required to take all remaining core and concentration area courses
through the bachelor program into which they are enrolled.
If any of the courses completed in the student's Associate degree from Merritt College appear
in the student's Bachelor program at CTU, the duplicate courses will be removed from the
student's CTU schedule and replaced with alternate courses. These courses will not be
considered for additional transfer credit as they are part of the Associate Degree block transfer.
In no case will a student be required to repeat a course for which credit has been previously
earned.

Transfer Agreement: RN to BSN
The following associate degree program from Merritt College has been evaluated by Colorado
Technical University and determined to be satisfactory in meeting the minimum requirements
for admittance to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) degree program at Colorado
Technical University.
Students who have completed this program from Merritt College will be enrolled into the RN to
BSN degree program at Colorado Technical University and will take the remaining balance of
courses and credit hours required to complete their degree at Colorado Technical University.
Students will be required to take all remaining core and concentration area courses in the
Colorado Technical University programs in which they are enrolled.
In addition to the completion of a two year Associate Degree in Nursing or a three year Diploma
Registered Nurse program (RN), admission to the RN to BSN program requires an
unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States (Individuals
without current license should contact the Program Director of Nursing at Colorado Technical
University. These individuals should call the main Colorado Technical University phone number:
(866)813-1836). International students must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language,
as measured by a TOEFL score of 550 or above; 213 or higher on the computer-based exam.

*Upon completion of the Associate in Arts in Administration of Justice: Corrections and
Associate in Arts in Administration of Justice: Police Science degrees from Merritt College the
student will have taken and passed ADJUS21-lntroduction to Administration of Justice which is
equivalent to CJUS141 at CTU; ADJUS22-Concepts of Criminal Law which is equivalent to
CJUS290 at CTU; ADJUS23-Principles and Procedures of the Justice System which is equivalent
to CJUS375-Criminal Procedures at CTU; ADJUS24-Legal Aspects of Evidence which is
equivalent to CJUS440-The Laws of Evidence at CTU; ADJUSSl-Juvenile Law and Procedure
which is equivalent to CJUS285-Juvenile Delinquency at CTU; ADJUS56-Criminal Investigation
which is equivalent to CJUS448-Criminal Investigation at CTU; and ADJUS63-lntroduction to
Corrections which is equivalent to CJUS263-American Corrections at CTU. When enrolling in
the BSCJUS or BSCJ-HS programs as delivered through CTU's Virtual Campus CJUS141, CJUS263,
CJUS285, CJUS290, CJUS375, CJUS440 and CJUS448 will be removed from the student's
schedule and replaced with alternate courses. These courses will not be considered for transfer
credit because the equivalent courses from Merritt College are part of the Associate Degree
block transfer. In no case will a student be required to repeat a course for which credit has
been previously earned.
**Upon completion of the Associate in Arts in Business: Accounting degree from Merritt
College the student will have taken and passed BUSlB-Managerial Accounting which is
equivalent to ACC350-Managerial Accounting at CTU. When enrolling in the BSACC program as
delivered through CTU's Virtual Campus ACC350 will be removed from the student's schedule
and replaced with an alternate course. This course will not be considered for transfer credit
because the equivalent course from Merritt College is part of the Associate Degree block
transfer. In no case will a student be required to repeat a course for which credit has previously
been earned.
