Overview
The Ward Center for Real Estate Studies was formed in 2007 to provide advanced and continuing education to CCIM Institute members and non-members on relevant and
timely topics in the commercial real estate industry.
CCIM Chapter Joint Delivery Information
A major goal of the Ward Center is to equip CCIM Chapters with education resources that generate membership and participation at the local level.
Joint-venture deliveries are based on 50/50 net revenue share between Institute and Chapter after Course Delivery Fees are reimbursed (see fees below)
CCIM Institute coordinates instructor, student registrations and course materials, and assists with marketing for all joint-venture deliveries
CCIM Chapter coordinates the course facility to allow for participants with laptops (Internet access may be required; see below); and markets the session
Continuing Education (CE) credit is continually being applied for these courses in host states; email wardcenter@cciminstitute.com to see if CE has been approved

Curriculum
1.
Advanced Negotiation Workshop (2-day)
Recommended Tuition: Member $1,075/Non-member $1,275
Get equipped with negotiation skills unmatched in the commercial real estate
industry through this hands-on, interactive workshop. Participants receive an
interactive software program that assists in planning for negotiations and
achieving desired outcomes.
2.
Troubled Assets Workshop (1-day)
Recommended Tuition: Member $295/Non-member $395
Examine and contrast creative disposition strategies suitable to a depressed
market, and develop a sample Asset Management Disposition Plan.
3.
Feasibility Analysis for a Retail Property (2-day)
Recommended Tuition: Member $595/Non-member $695
Complete a comprehensive market, site, and financial analysis of a proposed
retail development – and then for the acquisition of that same development –
using the CCIM Feasibility Analysis Model.
Internet access required.
4.
Creating and Sponsoring Real Estate Investment Groups (1-day)
Recommended Tuition: Member $495/Non-member $595
Investors frustrated with the stock market are looking for asset strategies they
can believe in. Group investment presents new opportunities in a new
economy.
5.
Mining Your Market in Today’s Economy (1-day)
Recommended Tuition: Member $295/Non-member $395
Identify how national trends affect your local market and drill down to your
office, retail and multifamily sectors to find out where opportunities exist –
now and throughout the next two to three years. Internet access required.
6.
Cost Segregation (3-hour)
Recommended Tuition: Member $195/Non-member $295
Cost segregation provides tax relief that can be of critical importance to
property investors and users by providing tax refunds on existing properties.
Course Delivery Fees
Fees deducted from gross revenue – along with Chapter facility, AV and food and
beverage expenses – prior to calculating 50/50 net revenue share. All Chapter
expenses reimbursed 100% in addition to 50% net revenue payment.
Instructor teaching fee $2,000 per day; $3,000 per day for Adv. Neg.
Workshop
Instructor travel stipend of $500; full travel reimbursement for Adv. Neg.

Course development recapture at $25 per student (no recapture fee for
Creating and Sponsoring RE Investment Groups)
Credit card costs 3% of gross revenue
$100 per student software royalty for Adv. Neg. Workshop
