What type of staging do you have?
We use the StageRight staging system. This
high performance staging system offers
unparalleled support for your performers or
dignitaries.
What can I use to
cover the staging?
What type of
staging is best
for an outdoor
concert?
Stage coverings are a very important detail when selecting a stage. Many of our decks
are two sided, offering a commercial grade low pile black carpet on one side and a
performance decking on the other. Additionally, we offer a variety of covering options.
We can provide glossy acrylic, a wide variety of colored matte finishes, fabric, carpet, or
large graphic applications.
For outdoor events we typically recommend using a mobile stage unit when
possible. These portable stages come
in a variety of sizes and configurations.
They have a roof system and wind
curtains to protect your performers from
the elements. Additionally there are a
number of branding opportunities on
and around the stage to ensure your
message is impactful.

What height do you recommend?
We typically look at several factors when determining the proper height for your stage. We consider
the ceiling height, audience size and the intended
purpose of the stage. We can provide everything
from 8” to 24” without railings to fully ADA approved stages up to 6’. For outdoor events we
can provide covered mobile stages complete with
rigging for sound and lights.

Sets/Staging
What types of sets do you provide?
We have in excess of 100 hard panel flats in a
variety of sizes. Flats are commonly used to create theatrical sets, TV studio sets, fashion show
backdrops and elaborate backdrops for corporate
events and meetings. These stock pieces work
like legos. We can build just about anything you
can imagine.

What can be used to
cover the sets?
The sets are typically covered in fabric to create clean visuals.
Again, there are many other covering options depending on
your particular need. Your Advanced Production’s
Coordinator will assist you in this process and can provide
samples for your review.
How tall can you make a set?
We have been involved with sets ranging from 4’ to 20’ tall. The height of a set is
determined by the venue and stage height. Logistically we are limited at some venues
due to elevator size restrictions and small corridors leading to the event space.

Tim Brown
Tim has over 30
years of event design
and management experience. As the Director of
Operations he spends
much of his time overseeing the daily operations both in our office
facilities and out in the
field. He directs a special group of individuals
who manage numerous
events each week. Additionally, Tim oversees
the internal infrastructure
of the organization, and
works closely with his
managers in the planning and implementation of the future business development for
Advanced Productions.
He has spent over 24
years working in the field
coordinating and producing 5-20 shows per
week and is involved in
much of the production
work undertaken by Advanced Productions. Tim
has a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Marketing and
Management Studies
from the University of
Maryland.

What types of graphics can you put
on the sets?
Just about anything you can imagine can
be printed and incorporated into a great set
design. From graphics to banners, flat logos,
or something three dimensional, our in-house
graphics team can create exciting visuals and
apply them to our set designs, making everything seamlessly come together.

What else can you do to sets to spice them up?
Lighting and projection are two great ways to
spice up your set. Your Advanced Productions
Coordinator can assist you in determining the
feasibility and options that can apply to your
particular set.
Why would I want to
use pipe and drape?
Add colorful fabric!
Pipe and drape is a cost effective
way to mask off a space or simply
hide unwanted stuff. Additionally,
with pipe and drape you can create a
room within a room, totally changing
the dynamics of a traditional ballroom
into a dream space.
Add Elaborate banners and truss architecture!
Add lighting and truss elements!
What other décor elements do you provide?
Our Creative Services Staff has been asked to fabricate all types of things large and
small. We can do Step-and-Repeat walls, oversized graphics, giant mirrorballs, etc...
