OOC Assignment 2: Personality Types
This is a purely individual assignment. Prepare your answers to the following questions in a plain ASCII text file or a Word
document (doc or docx). Submit your file to the Curator system by the posted deadline for this assignment. No late
submissions will be accepted. No other formats will be graded.
You will submit your answers to the Curator System (www.cs.vt.edu/curator) under the heading OOC02.
Go to both of the following sites and take the personality type assessment tests available there.
•
Humanmetrics (the Jung Typology Test at http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm)
•
Similarminds (http://similarminds.com/jung.html)
You will turn in a write-up (about a page) describing the feedback that you got from the test sites.
Be sure to include the scoring information that you were given by each of the sites, and the MB type
classification that each site gave you.
Read up about your classification(s), and comment on how accurate you consider it to be as a match for
your own personality. (The WikiPedia article on the personality type classification system is pretty
good.)
Consider "nearby'' classifications and comment on whether you think they are more or less appropriate
descriptions for you.
To make things easier for the TA who will evaluate these, please report your scores by putting them
into a table like the one below, at the beginning of the file:
Test
Type classification
I/E score
S/N score
T/F score
J/P score
HM
SM
For example, if you got the following report from the Humanmetrics site you'd fill in the table row as
shown below:
Introverted (I)
39
Intuitive (N)
38
Thinking (T)
62
Judging (J)
