Demonstrate the principals of safe working practices in a range of animal care facilities. 2. Identify behaviours consistent with good customer service and business practice. 3. Apply basic principals of animal welfare law and ethics in a variety of animal care facilities. 4. Demonstrate personal, professional and ethical behaviour in a team working environment within the USAU or an SPCA. Working in Animal Facilities: OSH legislation; safe working practices; infection and transmission of disease; zoonoses; facility hygiene; personal hygiene; PPE; animal first aid. Customer Service and Employability: Teamwork; customer service; professional and ethical behaviour; animal welfare ethics; tax; cash book records; bank reconciliation; relevant numeracy; basic employment contracts; consumer rights; applications; CVs; Interviews; Written and verbal communication skills.
