PRE-VETERINARY SCIENCE
Course Selection Guide
Updated Fall Semester 2015
This pre-professional plan has been developed by referencing the admission requirements for the
Veterinary School at NCSU, the only veterinary school in the State of NC. Students are advised to decide
on a primary major and a college so they may combine the prerequisites listed here for Doctor of
Veterinary Science with the requirements for their major and chosen school. Students who successfully
complete an AS degree will have satisfied the General Education requirements at every public university
in North Carolina as well as the private colleges that are signatories of the 2014 Comprehensive
Articulation Agreement. Students who transfer without the AA or AS degree must complete the General
Education core requirements at the receiving institution.
