Urban/Des Moines Campus
The six-acre Urban/Des Moines Campus is located in
a park-like setting on the north edge of downtown
Des Moines. With students from 65 countries,
the Urban Campus is one of the most culturally
diverse in Iowa. It offers an array of academic
support services and the most current instructional
technology, as well as opportunities to build social
networks, develop leadership skills and foster cultural
understanding. DMACC students take advantage
of a number of educational partnerships that allow
them to seamlessly transfer to four-year colleges
and universities. Even before they transfer, students
can take classes at Drake or Grand View to try them
on for size. The Urban/Des Moines Campus also has
strong ties to downtown Des Moines companies
and healthcare providers. That’s important when
graduates are looking for an employer.

DMACC’s Career &
Technical Programs
In the next few years, jobs requiring an Associate’s degree or
higher are projected to grow twice as fast as those requiring
no college. Many new job opportunities in Iowa today are
career and technical positions.
These areas of study prepare you for mid- to high-skill jobs. A few examples
of skilled trades include automotive technology, building trades, plumbing
and electrical contracting. These cover such diverse fields as agriculture,
biotechnology, culinary arts, advanced manufacturing, engineering,
healthcare, robotics and veterinary medicine.
DMACC offers 222 programs, degrees and certificates. Most of these are in
career and technical fields. These are rewarding, well-paying careers with
opportunities for advancement. A DMACC Career and Technical degree
provides graduates with the skills necessary to immediately become
employable and competitive in the global marketplace.
Through DMACC’s state-of-the-art Career Academies, high school students
can explore career fields or get a jump start on their education while
simultaneously earning college credit.

ANKENY CAMPUS
BOONE CAMPUS
Campus View Apartments
Borgen Square Apartments
Campus View, a privately owned development featuring
college-style apartments, lets DMACC students enjoy the
convenience and social benefits of living in a traditional college
dorm, but with many of the comforts and amenities of a
modern apartment complex.
The Borgen Square Apartments, located on the Boone Campus, offer
a great opportunity to meet new friends and live just a few steps away
from your classes. These affordable, apartment-style units offer private
bedrooms, cable, a full kitchen with appliances, and many other luxuries
you won’t find in a typical college dorm.
Campus Town Apartments
URBAN CAMPUS
Campus Town, a privately owned development, has gone
above and beyond with unique one-, two- and three-bedroom
luxury floor plans. Whether you want the “better than dorm
style” shared bedroom and bathroom or the “individual suite
style” private bedroom and bathroom, Campus Town offers
choices to fit many budgets.
Prairie Pointe Apartments
Prairie Pointe is a private apartment development built
along DMACC’s west edge, making these ultramodern
apartments an excellent option for students. Three- and
four-bedroom floor plans are available. Each occupant has his
or her own private bedroom suite that includes
a private bathroom and walk-in closet.

Drake West Village
DMACC Urban Campus students can now live at Drake West Village, a
private dorm located on land owned by Drake University. Drake West
Village has four floor plans, free high-speed internet and cable, laundry
and a roommate-matching service. But perhaps the best amenity is
that it’s located on a DART route, so DMACC students can have
door-to-door bus service.
CARROLL CAMPUS
DMACC’s Carroll Campus now offers student housing that’s close,
newly remodeled and exclusively for DMACC students. There are 18
individual bedrooms and a common space to enjoy relaxing time
with friends, watching TV, studying or just visiting. Cable TV, on-site
laundry and utilities are all included. The cost is $300 a month. Student
housing scholarships are also available, so contact the Carroll Campus
