 A. Lococo Wholesale Ltd. Cash Over and Short Policy Policy Statement Employees who handle cash are expected to be careful and accurate and to settle their funds each day without overages or shortages. We recognize the possibility that differences may occur from time-­‐to-­‐time, and we have developed the following policy to retard the losses and improve integrity: this policy and its associated progressive discipline will commence when any overages and shortages totalling more than $5.00 per incident are identified, over a 6 month period, from date of acknowledgment. Verbal Warning A verbal warning is given if an employee has cumulative cash over or short total of $5 or more. Written Warning After an employee has received a verbal warning, the second warning will be a written warning. Written Warning (with suspension) After an employee has been given their first written warning, the second will be a written warning involving suspension, for a period of time to be determined by both the severity and circumstances (time frame since last infraction) surrounding the incident. Termination Termination will result upon the third written warning. Any single shortages of $100 or more may be grounds for immediate dismissal. Senior Management or the COM must address each such occurrence in writing under the advisement of Human Resources. Any exception to be the above actions must be approved in writing by the Elected Official or Department Head. ***Warnings or exceptions involving cash overages or shortages shall be retained in the employees’ permanent file, separate from other disciplinary actions warnings. ***PLEASE NOTE, BY SIGNING THIS FORM, YOU ARE AKNOWLEDGING BOTH THE RECEIPT AND UNDERSTANDING OF THIS POLICY Original:  Personnel File Copy: Employee Date: Manager: Date:
