II. Transcript
Please attach a copy of your most up-to-date high school transcript. If this transcript does not include your first
semester senior year grades, please plan to submit a grade report after those grades have been assigned. An
unofficial copy is sufficient. This transcript is separate from that which is submitted with the general admissions
application and electronic submissions via Georgia College 411 cannot be accepted.
III. Teacher Recommendation
Please include one letter of recommendation from one of your high school teachers. If possible, the
recommendation should come from an academic teacher who instructed you in an AP, IB, Accelerated, Gifted, or
Honors course. This recommendation is separate from that submitted with the general admissions application.
The following guidelines should be shared with your chosen recommender.
The applicant will supply the University with information about his or her curricular and extracurricular activities,
accomplishments and honors. In a separate letter on your school’s official letterhead, please provide a letter of
recommendation on behalf of the student to assist our evaluation of his or her qualifications for the University of
Georgia Honors Program. Please place your letter in a sealed envelope, sign your name across the envelope flap
and return the envelope to the applicant to be sent with the application (make certain that the applicant’s full
name is on the front of the envelope). A student’s completed application and supplemental materials must arrive
under one cover to the University of Georgia Honors Program postmarked by February 1, 2016. Typed letters are
preferred but not required.

consideration. Applicants will receive email confirmation once their completed application is received. Applicants will be notified of
Honors Program decisions via email. All Honors decisions will be released by early April 2016. Meeting eligibility standards does not
guarantee acceptance into the University of Georgia Honors Program.

All accepted first-year Honors Program students are required to complete and submit an enrollment form to the Honors Program.
Enrollment forms must be received by no later than 5:00 PM May 1, 2016 in order to reserve their place in the Honors Program.
Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the student’s position in the program.
All accepted first-year Honors Program students are required to enroll in HONS 1000H: Introduction to Honors seminar. Failure to
enroll and complete the HONS 1000H course during the Fall 2016 semester will result in dismissal from the program.
