Northeastern University at Downtown Boston
Northeastern is a private research university set in the fashionable Back Bay area of Boston. Since its
foundation in 1898, the university has built a reputation for academic quality and community spirit. The
university occupies a beautiful urban campus with grassy quads and tree-lined walkways in the heart of
the city, close to the Museum of Fine Arts and within walking distance of stylish Newbury Street.
As Northeastern has grown, it has expanded its campus to the heart of the financial district in
downtown Boston. Situated on the 2nd floor of the Hilton Hotel, it offers courses in Business and
Management and affords students the opportunity to immerse themselves in Boston's bustling financial
sector. In addition, it is a stone's throw from the heart of historical Boston, a mere 5-minute walk from
The Old State House, the Site of the Boston Massacre and Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market.
As a student at Northeastern, you are required to pay a small campus fee. You will receive a
Northeastern Husky ID, which will give you access to excellent campus facilities including dining halls,
coffee shops, food halls and three fitness centers. There are several campus entertainment venues and
good access to public transport makes it easy to explore the rest of Boston’s attractions.
Additionally, the Husky ID card entitles all students to a wide range of discounts at restaurants,
cinemas, shops and cultural attractions throughout the city including the Museum of Fine Arts, the
Boston Symphony and many others. Student can speak with Kaplan International for a list of benefits
and participating businesses.
