Getting Started in Everett Public Schools Learning Management System Logging In Use the login you received in the mail. If you have not received a letter, please make certain to contact your child’s school. You can change your initial password after your first time logging in through our Password Management feature. Accessing Information on LMS Link to grades through MY CHILDREN; link to behavior, test scores and transcripts through the Home Access Center. MY CHILDREN – You will see a list of all children you currently have web access to view. – If you are not seeing a complete list of your children, please contact the child’s school and confirm your web access. To view grades and attendance, click on any child’s name and you will navigate to the gradebook view. RESOURCE LINKS – connect to a variety of district information and services Of special interest is the Home Access Center – Log into the Home Access Center if you want to view: - State Test Scores (grades 3-12) - Unofficial Transcripts (grades 6-12) - Discipline Incidents (grades 6-12) When you select any of your children, you will link to the Grades Summary. The blue arrow points to the child whose report is in the view window. Please note that during the 2011-12 school year, elementary online grades are in the planning stage. The first view of the gradebook is the Grade Summary. The Grade Summary includes assignments teachers have entered in the gradebook. Assignments include: Past due assignments – indicated by orange icons Assignments due today Future assignments Schedule shows all classes, both active and inactive. Scores are listed for active classes. Dropped classes and second semester classes are listed as inactive. Click on the class grade to see an assignment view. Another way to see the assignment view is to choose from the Class Report drop down menu. Select a specific class from the drop down menu. Be sure that the correct semester is selected as the Marking Period. Click Get Report. Click on Teacher Email to see a list of your student’s teachers. Click on a teacher name to email them directly. Attendance Report The student schedule, including any schedule changes, will appear at the top of the Attendance Report. In the Detailed Attendance section, the most important items are the Date, Class and the attendance code. Please ignore the “Hour #” – this is a database coding that we are working with our vendor to remove. In the Attendance Summary section, you can see attendance totals by class. Note: If a student had attendance information for a class that was dropped, you will still see that dropped class’ attendance in the summary. Date Class Attendance code Email Subscriptions Now you can choose to get reports emailed automatically to the email address on file at your student’s school. To update your email address, please notify your student’s school. Select the report you want – attendance, grade or assignment. Select the day or days you want to get the report. To receive a detailed assignment report for a particular class, select the class. Click on Email Subscription to get reports sent to your email on file with your student’s school. Use the drop down menu to be notified when a grade falls below a specific level. Click Save. Looking for discipline, unofficial transcripts or state test scores? Click Home Access Center in the left menu for additional information. Connecting to the Home Access Center requires logging in a second time. Use the same username and password.
