Syllabus Course Number: MSCI 625 Course Title: Supply Chain Management Course Description: This course focuses on supply chain management from order through delivery, encompassing the interactions of suppliers and customers in a systematic process while utilizing the SAP platform to illustrate concepts and facilitate hands-on learning for students. Course Overview: Students will explore supply chain management core processes including planning, sourcing, creating, and logistics, across industry sectors to help their company transform its supply chain to compete in today's global, digital economy. In particular, students will develop an in-depth understanding of today's complex supply chain in order to manage it to improve efficiency for a competitive advantage in your organization. Students will explore knowledge, problemsolving skills, and leadership techniques that are critical to advancing a business's goals through integrated supply chain planning and execution. Prerequisite Courses: None Course Outcomes: 1. Given a strategic framework, learners will analyze supply chain performance identifying appropriate drivers and metrics. 2. Learners will be able to design supply chain networks incorporating e-Business, global elements, and Information Technology. 3. Learners will understand demand forecasting for supply chains. 4. Learners will articulate planning elements for supply chains including supply and demand. 5. Learners will understand and be able to articulate logistic considerations in a supply chain 6. Given an ERP system, learners will understand, be able to input appropriate data, and articulate supply chain mechanisms in the ERP system.
