Red Hat Academy
Hands-On Linux Curriculum FOR Academic PROGRAMS
Red Hat® Academy provides curriculum materials for educational programs in high schools, institutions of higher
education, and economic development organizations worldwide. Red Hat Academy outfits schools that have the technology and support environments necessary with hands-on
Linux® instruction curriculum and labs, performance-based
testing, and educator support — all the essential elements
to help start up and sustain a Linux curriculum program.
Red Hat Academy Partner
Red Hat Academy is an open source education platform
that provides a turnkey program for schools. The academic
program is a 100% web-deployed and managed curriculum
that creates proven competencies from hands-on, performance-based learning and testing.
Red Hat Academy Partners get:
• Comprehensive XML courses and labs
As part of the Red Hat Academy program, your school
can choose to become a testing center for our industryleading Linux certification exams1 — the Red Hat Certified
Technician (RHCT®) and Red Hat Certified Engineer®
(RHCE®) exams. The option to offer Red Hat certification
exams is part of your annual subscription and is encouraged, but is not a requirement of partnership. Schools that
do offer Linux certification exams find value in its ability
to attract enrollment, serve as a student assessment tool,
and act as a school staff training program.
“Red Hat Academy is, without a
doubt, the most demanding and
thorough Linux curriculum product
on the market.”
— Robert Guess,
Tidewater Community College
