Blue Bulletin December 15, 2015 "A Weekly Communication from Teachers to Families for School Success" Strategic Reading­ hprescott@plymouth.k12.ma.us I was blown away by the student’s creative vocabulary games. They were artistic, imaginative, and creative in the process of creating an activity to review vocabulary words and definitions. This week the students will look at the PROCESS of research and the 6 stages of research. They will also look at effective search methods using the internet search knowledge they have learned throughout this unit. I will be out of school from December 18 through the 23 due to shoulder surgery. I can be reached by email if you need me. Geograph​

Students will be focusing on a variety of topics and working with a group to create a poster project. Have an awesome week! Pre­Algebra ­ apartridge@plymouth.k12.ma.us The A, E, and G period math classes are finishing chapter 4 this week. They will take the test and have a binder check on Friday. The B and C period classes are working on proportions in chapter 5. They will have an assessment on Friday as well. The next Math Learning Log is due tomorrow, 12/16. Have a fabulous week! English­ trezendes@plymouth.k12.ma.us Students will continue to work in groups this week to write a script and prepare a presentation. Presentations will begin either Friday or next Monday, depending on how the groups progress. Science ­ amyule@plymouth.k12.ma.us Forces and build up and tear down Earth’s surface is the theme for this week. I will be available after school both Tuesday and Thursday for students who missed last week’s quiz, or students who need to work on corrections. The portion of our Earth and Space Science unit that includes Earth’s surface will be concluding as we approach Christmas break, and students will be using the computer lab to review materials next week. ­ Wednesday, 12/23/15 On Wednesday, 12/23/15, our team will be watching a film titled ​

. The movie ties into the work that students will be doing leading up to 12/23 in Strategic Reading class on researching STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers. In addition, the film reinforces our team goals related to effective effort, growth mindset, and perseverance.
