Welcome to the Sixth Annual Out & Equal
Executive Forum!
EXECUTIVE FORUM GOLD SPONSORS
Each year at the Executive Forum, lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT)
business leaders come together to discuss
challenges, address opportunities, and
return home with tangible ways to enhance
our effectiveness as leaders. The Executive
Forum provides LGBT senior executives
and emerging executives with a unique
opportunity to celebrate successes, share
best practices, and plan next steps. The
Executive Forum is a vibrant and powerful event to connect you with
other LGBT executives. I have learned so much over the years from
LGBT executives about making a difference — in our own lives, and for
our employees, organizations, and the world. I look forward to spending
time with all of you. As leaders, you are in a position to make real and
lasting change in your organization and beyond.
EXECUTIVE FORUM CHAMPION SPONSORS
EXECUTIVE FORUM ADVOCATE SPONSORS
I want to extend a special thank you to Intuit, Wells Fargo, and all of our
sponsors for making this program possible and for recognizing that
workplaces thrive when everyone is able to bring their full selves to work.
A big thank you to our facilitators Christie Hardwick and Vicky Keith,
whose talents have made the Executive Forum experience all that
it has become since the beginning. I am also grateful to our senior
class co-chairs, Charlene Grabowski and Patrick O’Donnell, and our
emerging class co-chairs Lis Warren and Adam Wolf for their commitment
to making the 2013 Out & Equal Executive Forum a real success.

greetings from
mayor edwin m. lee
welcome from the co-chairs
Why can’t we all just get along, respecting
the rights of all people? As executive leaders,
sometimes don’t you just ask yourself that
question? I know we do! Until we can answer
that question affirmatively, our work is not
done. The good news and the theme of our
annual celebration is that there is Momentum.
We have the masses in motion but we need to
stay focused on the goal and not give up until
we have reached equality for all. That’s why
this Executive Forum is planned to focus on
how we keep moving in the right direction
with the right resources and support to make
a difference every day.
The Out & Equal Executive Forum is the place
where executives like you get to focus on the
needs of our community domestically and
globally, share ideas and best practices, be
heard and be involved. We have a responsibility as leaders to be visible role models and
ensure the vision of workplace equality.
It is our honor to co-chair the 2013 Out & Equal
Executive Forum and engage each and every
one of you. We welcome back the alumni from
past forums and welcome our new attendees
and your fresh ideas.
This forum can change you if you are open to
the ideas, the rich content, new connections
and valued friendships. We are here to make
change happen and for you to continue the
work when you get back in your workplace
and community.
Thank you for taking time from your busy
schedules to make this event even richer with
your ideas, engagement and commitment to
continue the Momentum!

tax, benefits and other HR matters, and in efforts to foster workplace morale.
