Subsequent activity will appear on the next eBill. • We have partnered with Nelnet Business Solutions/QuikPay for the eBills, Direct Deposit, and Payment Plans Fall 2012 Billing Dates: Fall 2012 Due Dates: July 23rd August 22nd September 10th October 10th October 15th November 14th November 19th December 19th 7 Your Student’s eBill • Charges on the eBill may include tuition and fees, • • • • student medical insurance, Campus Cash, food service and housing. Charges and/or adjustments will be calculated daily. Changes to account activity will be available for viewing in the HUB Student Center. Tuition and fee rates are located on the Student Accounts website. The amount due will be reduced by anticipated Financial Aid awards on the eBill (if applicable). The amount due on the eBill must be paid in full by the due date in order to avoid late fees and possible holds. 8 eBill Notification to Student Your University at Buffalo online billing statement is now available. You now can view and/or pay your bill online in the new, one-stop HUB Student Center. Access to the HUB Student Center is through a new tab in MyUB. In your Student Center, under the Finances section, click on the link called Payment Options. You will be taken to a University at Buffalo/QuikPAY Student Center Payment Options screen where you will be able to perform multiple actions, including setting up payment profiles, authorizing payers to view and/or pay your bill, view accounts, make payments, enroll in Direct Deposit and enroll in a Payment Plan. Payment Plan is available for Fall and Spring terms only. Up to four(4) equal installments, depending on when you enroll. The payment plan is not a loan program and the service is provided interest-free. Enrollment fee is $45.00 per term and is non-refundable. 17 Payment Plan cont’d • Enrollment in a payment plan for Fall 2012 begins on July • • • • 5th. (Student) Enroll by logging into your HUB Student Center and clicking on Payment Options in the Finances section. (Authorized Payer) Enroll through the Authorized Payer link. There can only be one payment plan established for the student. Students who enroll in the Fall will not automatically be enrolled for the Spring. 18 Financial Aid Application Process Application Process 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov UB’s Federal School Code is 002837 2012-2013 Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) www.tapweb.org/totw Full-time, undergraduate NYS Residents Only UB’s TAP School Code is 1010 19 Financial Aid To Do List After UB receives the 2012-2013 FAFSA, if the student needs to complete additional steps or submit additional documentation, these items will be listed in the To Do List in the HUB Student Center. The student will also receive a Financial Aid To Do Letter correspondence as an alert that there are items on the To Do List. Financial aid cannot disburse towards the cost listed on the student account until all items in the To Do List are completed. The student may receive a Financial Aid Award Letter even if there are outstanding items listed in the To Do List. 20 Financial Aid Award Letter Students access their financial aid award letter via the HUB at www.myub.buffalo.edu Grants and Scholarships are already accepted. First-time Federal Direct Stafford Loan Borrowers Must: Complete Electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) http://financialaid.buffalo.edu/aid/loans/empn.php Entrance Counseling http://financialaid.buffalo.edu/aid/loans/entrance.php in order to have funds count as a pending credit against the account balance . 21 Direct Deposit • Students apply to have their Financial Aid or overpayment refunds deposited directly into your U.S. checking or savings account. • Students enroll in the HUB Student Center by clicking on Payment Options in the Finances section. The advantages: There is no risk of a check being lost or stolen in the mail. You don’t have to go to the bank to cash or deposit a check.
