The School’s motto, Character Before Career, is the foundation of a Stony Brook education. Summer Programs, founded in 1959, uphold the mission and motto of the school, providing an environment that fosters character development and personal growth in young people. Daily activities incorporate five areas of personal growth: physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual. Our staff provides enthusiastic and caring supervision of all children. Each staff member shares a commitment to exemplifying morality in motive, thought, action and responsibility to others. Each camp department has a rich curriculum led by an expert in his/her field.
