COURSE DESCRIPTION
NO SHOW POLICY
This four hour program will provide comprehensive
education and insight into the best management for
various aspects of treating the traumatically injured
patient. This course is designed to enhance the
knowledge and skills necessary for those caring for
trauma victims to better understand systematic trauma
assessment and management of the various possible
injuries and complications from a traumatic mechanism.
If you have pre-registered and are unable to attend this
conference please notify Andrea Hawk via phone or
email so that someone else will be allowed to attend
from the waiting list. TPMs of supporting institutions will
track no-shows, and if a pattern is found, you will not be
allowed to register for future Midwest Trauma Society
Consortiums.

Understand the mechanism of injury for gunshot
wounds as they relate to wound dynamics and
subsequent trauma care as well as documentation or
recovery of forensic evidence.
Review current literature and trends in the
management of cervical spine trauma.
Discuss disaster management as it applies to the
Ferguson events.
Describe potential cardiac complications in the setting
of trauma.

involved in the care and management of traumatically
injured patients.
