You are invited to apply for the John Odom Scholarship Award from the Jesse H.
Jones School of Business Alumni Chapter, Texas Southern University National Alumni
Association, Inc. We will award one (1) $1,000 academic scholarship and two (2)
$250 book scholarships to selected winners for the upcoming Spring 2015 semester.
To apply, you must submit the application by December 1, 2014 with all supporting documents required. No late and/or incomplete applications will be accepted.
The Scholarship Committee will review your application. If all requirements are met, an in-person interview will be scheduled with the Scholarship Committee members.
All applicants will be notified of their status by phone and/or email.
If selected, winners will be required to attend the JHJ Alumni Chapter’s Scholarship
Soiree on Saturday, January 10, 2015 and the JHJ School of Business’ Honors
Banquet in April 2015.

The Jesse H. Jones School of Business Alumni Chapter of the Texas Southern University National Alumni
Association, Inc., will award one (1) $1,000 academic scholarship and two (2) $250 book scholarship awards to full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors for the Spring 2015 semester.
(No late applications and/or incomplete applications will be accepted.)
 Applicant must a student currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a degree within the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University.
 Applicant must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
 Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in his/her respective area of major.

Two (2) Letters of Recommendation. Letter should come from professors, employers, and/or non-relatives who can provide an evaluation of the applicant’s professional and academic performance. Letter should include the recommender’s signature, title, and contact number.

Professional Resume.

Official Transcript. Transcript must be issued by the Registrar’s Office and must be in a seal envelope. Applicants will not be considered without an official transcript from the University.

Professional Photo, preferable a recent headshot.
