Other assistance was received from several of the Basilei on the list; some of whom did not always remember who preceded or followed them (or how long they served). This list will have several errors in terms of service and numbers of years of service. Where names were received in order of service and without complete years, it was assumed that terms began and ended with the current October-September format and were two-year terms. In some cases, terms were listed as one- or three-year to fill the gaps. Other names were received where Brothers “were certain” that John Doe was a Basileus, but “I can’t remember when he was Basileus, or whom he followed, or how long he served.”. Some old Oracles have been used, but more are needed. District records have also been used. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Call me at home (329-2875) if you can help. 1 Elmer Gordon was reported to have been a Basileus. It has been documented that he was the Vice Basileus of William Parker. 2 Quallie Moon was the Vice Basileus of T. T. Coleman. It has not been confirmed that he actually became Basileus. It is assumed that he did move up. 3 The Oracle chapter directory for Winter 1977 lists Alvoston Taylor as Basileus. However, we all know that the list was often not up to date. I seem to remember Alvoston Taylor as either Basileus or Vice Basileus in the spring of 1974. This was during the time a charter line was in the process at University of Richmond.
