MA Musical Theatre Showcase - Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

MA Musical Theatre
Showcase
www.rcs.ac.uk
From the entire Musical Theatre team, a very warm welcome to this year’s
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s (known as the Royal Scottish Academy of
Music and Drama until 1 September, 2011) MA Musical Theatre Showcase.
This has been a very busy year for this international group of postgraduate
students. Highlights have included appearing on BBC's Children in Need
Rocks Scotland and once again taking part in Tonight’s the Night with John
Barrowman, producing Candid Cabaret – a season of self-devised solo
performances, which performed in three venues across Scotland. Most recently
they presented the Scottish premiere of Sunday in the Park with George,
the world premiere of MTM Award-Winning Wasted Love and the European
premiere of Show Choir! The Musical at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe to
critical acclaim.
We’re very proud of all of our students and wish them all the best in their
future careers. Today marks the next step for these 19 emerging artists
and we thank you for the important part you are playing by helping them
embark on the next chapter in their careers. Thank you for engaging with
the work of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and please feel free to get in
contact with any thoughts or enquiries about our MA or BA Musical Theatre
programmes.
