The Titans And the Golden Age

Long time ago, there is a brilliant family called Titans. And the king there was
Saturn and he was also the king of all the Earth. There were six brothers and six
sisters in the family. They said the sky was their father and the Earth was their mother.
It was the Golden Age as the Titan was under Saturn’s reign. There was noting about
illness or sorrow etc. Nobody has to work in the Golden Age. People there really had
a long life without became gray or wrinkled, someone who was hundreds and
hundreds-year-old could be seen normally then. The rich wouldn’t appear there and
everybody is friend. Happiness and innocence would be the best synonym of the
family. And about the dwelling there, people would never need house because there
were all warm days without storms or anything scaring. The way people who pass
away there is special. When these people had lived long enough they fell asleep and
their bodies were seen no more. And some men say that, they are wandering happily
here and there around the Earth in order to bless mankind everywhere. But
unfortunately the Golden Age was going to face the end soon. And the unbelievable
changes were brought our by Saturn’s son Jupiter and Jupiter’s brothers and sisters.
And the most amazing thing is Jupiter began to plot wage war against Saturn when he
was a year old. Jupiter had amount of mighty helpers. A company of one-eyed
monsters called Cyclopes were keep forging thunderbolts in the fire of burning
mountains. And three monsters each with a hundred hands were called to throw rocks
and trees to against the stronghold of Titans. People were locked into a prison in the
Lower World. And the helpers were sent there to work for them. After the terrible
memory, the wars take the place of peace. Instead of everyone is friend, everybody
was everybody’s foe. The Golden Age has become as terrible as we couldn’t image.
After I read this short story, I feel a little bit sad. Because it’s such a bad thing to
see a wonderful world change to a miserable land. And the saddest part is the people
who used to be kind and innocent change to evil and selfish. There is a sentence said
“Instead of happiness, there was misery.” As I read this sentence the feeling of
hopeless fill with my mind. Even I feel unhappy as I finish the story I still enjoy the
happy moment in the Golden Age. The way the author describes the story is fantastic.
Good technique of writing and some beautiful pictures makes me feel like I am just
live in that sweet family. I wish I can live in a place where is just as relax as there
when I am old one day. No noisy sound that comes from transportations or any
engineering. Just make myself into the nature wonderland. And it seems I can see the
treasure of wonder there. The entire the story is good, but I think a part of story is
doubtful. The story said the Titans don’t need houses but I don’t think there is a place
on the surface of the Earth is so safe that people are house needless.
Teacher’s Comment
It is glad to see the story move you a lot and make you think further. It is good that
you have pity on those people who were changed into evil and selfish. Also you are
impressed by and fond of the fantastic world of the Titans. Indeed, I think the world
where they live is really wonderful. I also hope to live in a world without evil and
worry. What’s more, you also doubt the correctness of the story. It is good to have
doubts but it depends. Since the story is fictional, don’t think too much about the
content but just enjoy the story. You have done a very good job.
