An MFA or MA degree in visual arts is required as well as an active and growing record of creative work or
exhibitions. Applicants must have a background in teaching digital media courses as well as interdisciplinary
art and design concepts in a college foundations curriculum.
Qualified candidates must show expertise in photography, web design, and/or animation and have an
understanding of emerging technologies. Minimum three years (FT or FTE) of college-level teaching
experience required. A background in managing a budget, supervising personnel, and working with
administrators at different levels is also recommended. Additional responsibilities of the position include the
advising of students, and participating in departmental and college assignments and committees. May also be
responsible, as needed, for supervising the maintenance, budget and development of three imaging
classrooms/labs and digital media center (the Center for Visual Technology). Candidates of diverse cultural
