It won’t take long to change a plain tee-shirt
into a cute pumpkin that is ready to party all
Halloween season! Simply crochet the eyes
and mouth, then hand-stitch them in place.

Row 7: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Row 8: Ch 1, turn, skip first st, sc in next 2 sts,
sc2tog – 3 sts.
Row 9: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
MOUTH
Mouth is worked from one corner to
opposite corner.
Holding 2 strands of yarn together, ch 5.
Row 1: Working in back loops only, sc in 2nd
ch from hook and each ch across – 4 sts.
*Shape Tooth
Row 2: Ch 5, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook
and each ch, leave 4 sts from previous row
unworked – 4 sts.
Rows 3-5: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
Repeat from * to make 4 Teeth.
Shape Opposite Corner of Mouth
Last Row: Ch 5, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook
and each ch, leave 4 sts from previous row
unworked – 4 sts.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
For best results, lay tee-shirt flat and insert
a piece of cardboard inside and smooth the
shirt front. Referring to the photo, pin Eyes
and Mouth to upper middle portion of shirt.
Carefully hand-stitch pieces using matching
thread, being careful not to pull the thread too
tightly in order to prevent puckering.

millimeters; sc = single crochet; st(s) =
stitch(es); tog = together; * or ** = repeat
whatever follows the * or ** as indicated.
Row 10: Ch 1, turn, skip first st, sc2tog – 1 st.
Edging Round: Ch 1, sc evenly spaced around
entire piece, join with slip st to first sc.
Fasten off.
