Remembrance

In Flanders Fields...
the
poppies
grow....
between the crosses,
row on row ...
that mark our place ...
we are the dead ...
short days ago we lived ...
and now we lie in Flanders Fields.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning,
We will remember them.
.
Soldiers were
not the only
casualties of
war.
Over one million
children under
the age of
sixteen died
during the
Second World
War.
A brave young
girl named Anne
Frank was only
one of them.
