Online Consultation for Healthcare Providers Launched
HRSA/AETC Clinician Consultation Center Adds New Resources to Phone Consult Services
The Clinician Consultation Center (CCC) is expanding its services for healthcare providers with the
addition of online consultation at its new website, nccc.ucsf.edu. The CCC, previously the National
HIV/AIDS Clinicians' Consultation Center (NCCC), has been the go-to national resource for clinical
consultation on HIV/AIDS and bloodborne pathogen management for over two decades through its
Warmline, PEPline, and Perinatal HIV Hotline.
While our name and look have changed, our goal remains the same: to provide clinicians with
timely, expert consultation that supports high-quality patient care.
Access Expert Clinical Advice Online
Beginning April 21, 2014, healthcare providers can register online with the CCC to initiate
confidential, cost-free clinical consultation in addition to calling us over the phone. Online
consultation gives healthcare providers an additional mode of access to expert advisory opinion and
education on HIV and bloodborne pathogens.
Register on our website (nccc.ucsf.edu/login-register) to submit HIV management cases from your
desktop computer or mobile device, and receive responses online and by phone from our clinicians.
Registration allows you to access your archived cases for reference or ongoing management. Online
consultation for post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) management is expected to launch this summer.
This service is not intended to be used by patients or their family members.
Find Expanded Website Resources
Our new website includes unique tools and resources for clinicians, including:
•
•
•
•
PEP Quick Guide: at-a-glance PEP recommendations to assist with urgent decision-making
for occupational exposures to HIV and hepatitis B and C
Compendium of State HIV Testing Laws: state-by-state overviews and in-depth findings on
current HIV testing laws and policies
ARV Charts: information on dosages, adverse reactions, and potential interactions
Case of the Month Vignettes: sample encounters from our HIV/AIDS Management and
Post-Exposure Prophylaxis services
Sign up online for our email newsletter to receive news and updates on the CCC, federal treatment
guideline changes, new educational resources from our partners at the AIDS Education and Training
