Drum pumps are widely used by different sectors such as: Pumps have vertical suction and horizontal discharge port. • Chemical plants These are lightweight, handy and extremely powerful • Food processing plants devices suitable for transferring thin to low viscous, neutral or corrosive, aggressive & non-aggressive, non-flammable • Packaging plants and non-explosive liquids. Designed for portable and static use the pumps are particularly suitable for intermittent • Plating operation. • Semiconductor The state-of-the-art design and high efficiency motors offer • Waste water treatment an accurate and cost effective alternative to the hazards of handling liquids. Modular concept design provides • Pharmaceutical interchangeability of Lubi various tubes of different material to the standard high speed Lubi electric or air motor. • Laboratories The drum pumps eliminate the need to turn over barrels or drums to remove the liquid inside. • Automotive industries • Agriculture. The pumps consists of: Features and benefits • Pump tube • Electric or air motor These pumps are designed specially for drums, vats, totes, containers, carboys, open vessels up to 1.5 mtrs (60") deep. Pumps can be driven by either electric motor or air motor. • High quality components Lubi offers wide range of material variant for pump tubes as suitable for different types of pumped liquids. • Light weight, portable • Easy to install, user friendly operation Pump tubes are available in four basic versions as described below: • • • • • Ergonomically designed handle • Safe chemical transfer, an alternative to manual - minimizes danger of spills, vapors, burns, health, environmental, liability concerns Stainless steel AISI 316 pump CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) pump PP (Polypropylene) pump PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Kynar® pump • Pulsation free • Inherent flooded suction Motors are available in two basic versions as described below: • Sealless design • Pump operated with high speed electric motor (10000 rpm at 50 Hz) • Pump operated with air motor. • Operates by AC electric motor or pneumatic air motor. • Few parts - maintenance friendly • Pumps liquids with viscosity up to 1000 cps The mechanism of drum pumps is very simple. It consists of a vertical shaft inside a very narrow tube, which can fit into the opening at the top of a standard drum or container. A small motor, located at the top of the tube, is connected to the shaft. This motor is AC electric motor or Air motor, with a trigger switch. At the bottom of the tube is the pumping element itself. Turn on the pump, and the liquid will be drawn out in a steady flow. While using minimal power, drum pumps also lower the risk of spillage. • Electric motors are available with speed control • Limited dry run capability. • Flow rates to 104 l/min (27 USgpm) • Pressures to 2.4 bar (22 metres of head) • Temperatures to +88°C (+190°F) 4 Electric & pneumatic drum pumps LDPTS, LDPTC, LDPTP, LDPTK, LDPMA, LDPMB Drum pumps Type key - Pump Example Type key - Motor LDP TS 4 Example Lubi drum pump series Pump type TS = Stainless steel AISI 316 pump TC = CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) pump TP = PP (Polypropylene) pump TK = PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) Kynar® pump Immersion length 2 = (27") 700 mm length 3 = (39") 1000 mm length 4 = (47") 1200 mm length LDP MA 07 V Lubi drum pump series Motor type MA = High speed electric motor (10000 rpm at 50 Hz) MB = Air motor Motor output 07 = 0.75 hp Variable speed control* V = With Variable speed control N = Without Variable speed control * Applicable only with high speed electric motor. It takes less than six cycles to yield a gallon (3.8 litres). i.e 22 oz. (0.650 literes) per stroke. Pumps have vertical suction and horizontal discharge port. The two position handle may be mounted either above or below the pump. The handle can be padlocked to prevent unauthorized dispensing. A built-in siphon breaker prevents unwanted flow when pumping is stopped. It will operate wet or dry without damage. Unlike ordinary metal hand pumps, it will even handle fresh or salt water. Rust is no problem here! This type of pump can be used for chemically compatible liquids at temperatures up to 54°C (130°F) and having maximum viscosity of 200 CPS (1,000 SSU). These pumps are designed for farms, construction sites and manufacturing plants. Features and benefits • • • • These pumps are available in two material variants: • Nylon (LDPHN) • Polypropylene (LDPHP) • Nylon drum pump is designed for the transfer and dispensing • of liquids within a pH range of 7 to 9. These includes many • lubricants, oils, detergents and aromatic materials which are compatible with pump component materials. • Polypropylene drum pump is designed for transfer and dispensing of liquids within a pH range of 4 to 11. These includes many organic acids, alcohols and water soluble inorganic chemicals which are compatible with pump component materials. • • • Technical specifications CAUTION: Chemical compatibility of a pump should be always checked for each liquid by chemical name. Pumps have vertical suction and horizontal discharge port. They are designed to transfer clean, non-abrasive, nonflammable and non-explosive liquids that are compatible with pump materials. The motor is isolated from liquid by a mechanical seal made out of Teflon with a Viton O-ring. The pump has an outer shaft which are made out of stainless steel AISI 316. Pumps are driven by continuous duty electric motor rotating at 2900 rpm. The motor has shielded, prelubricated ball bearings that reduce maintenance requirements. LDPPA drum pumps eliminate the need to turn over barrels or drums to remove the liquid inside. Applications LDPPA pumps are used for pumping out liquids from drums, barrels, large storage vessels, stainless steel tanks, totes, etc. Drum pumps are widely used by different sectors such as: • • • • • • • • • • Chemical plants Food processing plants Packaging plants Plating Semiconductor Waste water treatment Pharmaceutical Laboratories Automotive industries Agriculture. These pumps have 1:1 pressure ratio. This means that the air pressure from compressor into the pump is equal to the fluid pressure coming out of the pump. These pumps can be supplied as separate unit or as complete systems with all the necessary elements for proper installation. These pumps may be mounted on mobile units, drums, tanks or walls, by using the appropriate accessories. Pumps have vertical suction and horizontal discharge port. LDPPP drum pumps eliminate the need to turn over barrels or drums to remove the liquid inside. NOTE: These pumps are designed and intended for transfer only and do not reliably stall under pressure when used as a demand pump. They must be controlled with a valve on the air inlet. Pumps have vertical suction and horizontal discharge port. They are designed to transfer clean, non-abrasive, nonflammable and non-explosive liquids that are compatible with pump materials. LDPPG Gallon pumps eliminate the need to turn over jugs to remove the liquid inside. Applications LDPPG pumps are used for pumping out liquids which are compatible with pump material. These are widely used by different sectors such as: • • • • • • • • • • Technical specifications Laboratories Chemical plants Food processing plants Packaging plants Plating Semiconductor Waste water treatment Pharmaceutical Automotive industries Agriculture.
