Creating a Flyer with a Picture and a Border
Problem: Your boss at Danvers Nursery has asked you to prepare a flyer that
promotes its expanded greenhouses and grounds. Your task is to complete the flyer
below. Remember, if you make a mistake while formatting the flyer, you can click
the Undo button on the Quick Access Toolbar to correct your last mistake.
Directions: Please follow the directions below.
1. Type the flyer text, unformatted. If Word flags any misspelled words, check
the spelling and correct them.
2. Save the document on your U: drive, in your Word folder as Nursery

3. Apply the Heading 1 style to the headline. Apply the Heading 2 style to the
signature line. (2pts each = 4pts.)
4. Center the headline and the signature line. (2pts)
5. Change the font and font size of the headline to 48-point Arial Rounded MT
Bold. (2pts)
6. Change the font size of the body copy (between the headline and the signature
line) to 22-point. (2pts)
7. Change the font size of the signature line to 22-point. (2pts)
8. Bullet the three lines (paragraphs) of the text above the signature line.
9. Italicize the word, growing. (1pt)
10. Bold the text, recently expanded. (1pt)
11. Underline the word, and, in the second bulleted line. (1pt)

12. Change the style set to Traditional in the Headline. (2pts)
13. Change the theme colors to Solstice the color scheme in the Signature Line.
(2pts)
14. Insert appropriate picture above the bulleted list. (2pts)
15. Apply the Soft Edge Oval picture style to the ClipArt. (1pt)
16. Add an appropriate graphic borer to your flyer. (1pts)
17. The entire flyer should fit on one page. If it flows to another page, resize your
ClipArt. (2pts)
18. Save the flyer again.
19. Upload in Schoology.
