Core Competency Proposal System
Samsung’s Core Competency Proposal System is the only official channel that is able to receive
proposals from companies who would like to start business with Samsung Electronics.

Through this system, companies have the opportunity to submit proposals for all business areas
in Samsung Electronics simultaneously.
All company information that is submitted will be managed within the sourcing database.
All submitted companies are carefully reviewed and considered for collaboration possibilities with
the R&D/Procurement departments within relevant divisions of Samsung Electronics.
Companies that are selected for collaboration are then registered for business partnership.
What is Core Competency?

‘Core competency’ means an advanced technology, product, software, material or component
that can be applied within a Samsung Electronics product.
Who is the target of this system?
●
Any company can participate that has one or more relevant core competencies.

4 Sign in to G-SRM website
5 Input and submit your proposal after log-in
6 Check your list of proposals

Operating Process
Receives the proposal
Classifies the proposal and assigns it to the most
appropriate person in charge.
Evaluation of the proposal
The person in charge of the related proposal will evaluate the
strengths of the technology and core competencies.
Adoption of the proposal
Co-development and/or reliability testing for product
integration
Register in the potential
company pool
In case it is currently difficult to find a proper application of
a proposal, the company’s proposal will be entered
into a company database in case of future need.
