WGBH honored with 12 News and Documentary Emmy nominations
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the 30th annual News
and Documentary Emmy Awards, with PBS leading all networks with 41 nominations.
WGBH was honored with 12 nominations, including six for Frontline, four for
Nova, one for Frontline/World and one for “The Truth About Cancer.”

Among other nominations for PBS were ten for P.O.V, two each for Bill Moyers
Journal, Nature, and Independent Lens, and one for NOW on PBS.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will announce the winners
on September 21 at a ceremony in New York City, when Barbara Walters will receive
Lifetime Achievement Honors and the CNN Documentary Unit will be receive the
President’s Award.
