To provide excellent customer service to all customers while maintaining a
professional Pharmacy image. To assist the Supervisor and Pharmacy Manager as
required with the general running of the pharmacy.

Operational Standards
 To operate Point of Sale equipment and perform Point of Sale transactions as per Company
Procedure
 To be accountable for maintaining allocated locations by means of cleaning, replenishing and
rotating stock as well as date checking
 Confirm patient’s prescription needs and relay to the Pharmacist (where applicable)
 Assist in maintaining clean and tidy appearance of the pharmacy at all times
 To complete stock takes as required in line with Company Policy and Procedure
 To present and maintain pharmacy products in a neat and tidy manner at all times
 To assist colleagues in the general day to day duties within the Pharmacy which includes but is
not limited to activities such as serving at the counter, cleaning, merchandising, receiving and
processing incoming orders, maintaining product displays, routine housekeeping duties etc
 Apply point of sale handling procedures
 To accept prescriptions for dispensing by completing the Jadin Form in line with Company
Policy and Procedure
 To confirm patient’s particulars and prescription needs and validity
 To hand dispensed and non-dispensed medicine to customers according to Company Policy
and Procedure (where trained to do so)
 To provide customers with Hire Equipment and assist in keeping all records up-to-date in
consultation with the Pharmacy Manager (where applicable)
 Acknowledge, receive and wrap all sales items as per Company policies
 Acknowledge, check and process all methods of payment as per Cash Handling Procedures
 Follow all Cash Handling Procedures accurately when removing takings from the register and
reconciling takings (where applicable)
Customer Service
 Deal with customers politely and efficiently
 Establish customer needs and wants and actively sell appropriate products
 To follow up with all customer enquiries in line with the Company’s Special Order Policy and
assist with maintaining all records
 To promote and maintain a positive organisational image and strong working relationships with
people across the organisation
 Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, exceeding
expectations
 To deal with telephone enquiries in an accurate and customer friendly manner, referring non
routine queries to your Manager and directing calls to the relevant Employee/Department
where necessary
 To refer any complaints to the Pharmacy Manager
 Acknowledge and greet customers as per Company policies

 To be responsible for own health and safety and the health and safety of others
 Participate in basic training in all areas of Pharmacy as required. This includes but is not limited
to; Dispensary, Point of Sale, Merchandising, Operational Procedures and product knowledge
 To be aware of the nature and sensitivity of information handled within the Company and work
in a manner which ensures confidentiality and security of this information
 Demonstrate commitment and initiative when carrying out all aspects of daily duties by
assisting colleagues as required. Ensure productivity in terms of quality and quantity of work
by completing tasks within agreed timeframes
 Establish daily tasks and responsibilities with the Supervisor/Pharmacy Manager
 To assist with maintaining the lost sales records
 Responsible for partaking in any other task or activity not listed that is required within the
scope of the role e.g. cleaning duties, etc
 Follow Jadin Chemist Group Pty Ltd policies and procedures accurately and without question
relating to personal presentation
 To become multi-skilled in mutually agreed aspects of the Pharmacy operation
 To participate in weekly one hour training sessions to continually develop skills, knowledge and
experience
 Place, arrange and display price tickets and labels
 Place and arrange merchandise
 Adhere and comply with Company Security Procedures
 Conduct customer bag inspections following Company Policy as and when required
 Report any potential breaches of security to the Pharmacy Manager
 Assist Pharmacy Manager in preparation for Quality Care Assessments as and when required
 Develop and maintain effective and appropriate relationships with all Employees within the
Jadin Chemist Group Pty Ltd
 Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Supervisor
 To attend meetings relevant to the role such as staff meetings and ensure that any actions
from that meeting associated with the role are appropriately implemented

Experience and Qualifications
 Ability to prioritise and manage workloads and meet deadlines
 Effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, across a wide range of audiences with a
particular emphasis on detail, accuracy
 Excellent interpersonal communication skills that inspire teamwork and approachable customer
service to all customers
 Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities in a pressurised, fast pace environment
 Work effectively both as a team member and individually
 Full confidentiality
 Ability to use their initiative
 Previous experience working in a retail environment – desirable
 Previous experience working in a customer facing organisation
