Project Description /
Directions:
You will select a ‘drug’ from the provided list (or another pre –
approved by me) and give a brief presentation of your drug to the
class.
Components:
Within your presentation you will need to address the following:
o Description of the drug, including its makeup
o Classification of the drug
o Slang terms or street names for the drug
o Manner in which the drug is ingested
o Effects:
 Psychological effects to the brain
 Physiological effects on the rest of the body
 Duration of effects (both short term and long)
o Dependence of the drug (psychological and physical)
Presentation:
When giving your presentation you will need to:
o Give a brief presentation/overview of your drug, including
the above components to the class
o The presentation should be 2 – 3 minutes in length.
o You will need to present an outline for display during your
presentation (not a Power Point)
o A more defined outline addressing the above criteria to turn
in to Mr. Hackbarth.
Assessment:
o You will present your project on ______________________
o It is worth a total of 20 points.
o You will be assessed based on the guidelines on the rubric
provided.
