Official University Seal
The Texas A&M International University seal represents the international vision
of the University. The seal is surrounded by 23 scallops, each representing one year of
the University’s existence prior to becoming TAMIU on Sept. 1, 1993.
The University’s name, Texas A&M International University, surrounds the main
design element, a view of the Americas traversed by a three-dimensional, futuristic,
geodesic surface. Highlighting the seal is a single star that represents the University’s
membership in The Texas A&M University System and the State of Texas.
Identifying Texas A&M International University
An Identity Guide to the University’s Graphic and Visual Presence
University Messaging,
Publications and Advertisement Guidelines
The Office of Public Affairs and Information Services (PAIS) has the privilege of
ensuring that all official University messages, publications and advertisements project a
consistent graphic and visual identity that endorses and affirms TAMIU’s mission, goals
and purposes.
All University print, electronic publications and advertising are produced or
approved by PAIS. All publicity for initiatives/events should be disseminated by PAIS
(Faculty Handbook 6.2). We work with all deans, vice presidents and department heads
to determine design, approve content and provide distribution advice for all official
University messages, publications and advertisements. Recruitment and development
publications are accorded scheduling priority at all times.
In order to provide public relations counsel that maximizes your message,
publication or advertisement, we’d like to meet with you well in advance of your need to
produce a strategic, targeted plan.
We’ll be happy to provide writing, editing, proofing, limited photography,
scripting, design, spec creation and print production management at NO COST to you.
Our goal remains to help all colleges or departments create the best messages,
publications or advertisements possible to meet your internal or external needs.
The integrity of the seal must not be compromised by placing lettering or graphic
images directly behind or on top of the seal. There should be no competing artwork or
text in close proximity to the seal. The seal cannot be manipulated, distorted, or appear
as a watermark.
