Famous life, famous death
-mysterious cases of death-
What is a myth?
A myth is a narration concerning events that themselfes are relating to storys of former times.
Typical subjects of myths are ancient legends concerning the genesis of the gods, the world and
humanity itself.
It usually contains metaphoric, symbolic and phantastic elements.
Marilyn Monroe
- born on June 1st in 1926 in Los Angeles as Norma Jeane Mortenson
-
died on August 5th under mysterious circumstances
Until today there are still several speculations of her death. There is no serious reason for death,
because the documents of the autopsy have been abolished. Even today many people are
fascinated by Marilyn Monroe’s life and death.
Committed Suicide, because…
- because she was fired by 20th Century Fox
 it is true that she had conflicts with Fox, but a few days before her death after long
discussions, she signed a new contract
- because of mental problems
 she suffered from depressions, but she was under medical treatment and never
mentioned the wish to die
Conspiracy Theory:
- president John F. Kennedy murdered her with the help of the CIA  his pretended love
affair with the film star would have damaged his reputation
- there are even names of the murderers: Anthony Spilotro and Frank Schweihs
Wrong Medical Treatment:
- two different doctors prescribed Marilyn Monroe two different sleeping pills one
including chloral hydrate and the other nembutal which are reacting fatal with each other
- died of acute poisoning
- it is suspected that she was so confused by her depressions and her addiction to these
medicals, that she could not distinguish between them or took accidentally too much
Jim Morrison
-
born on 08th december 1943
died on 03rd July 1971
The listed, official cause of death is heart-failure,
he was found lying dead in a bathtub by his girlfriend
Rumours :
-
Morrison died on an (maybe purposed) overdose of Heroin
He faked his death to begin a completely new life; alot of people
do believe that (including ex-bandmember Ray Manzarek)
VERY conspiratorial: He was killed by the CIA (like J.Joplin,
J.Hendrix, John Lennon…)
Grace Kelly
-born: 12th November 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
-died: 14th September 1982 after a car accident
the official cause of the accident was that she had suffered a stroke (Schlaganfall)
while driving
Rumours:
-Princess Stephanie was alleged to have been the actual driver of the car
(without a driving licence)

some thought that Grace was in bad shape because of a quarrel with Stephanie
and that she lost control over the car

it was said that the mafia had damaged the car

some people even thought it was suicide because Grace did not know how to
handle her family problems anymore
Kurt Cobain
-
born on February 20th, 1967
lead singer and guitarist of the band Nirvana
after a first suicide attempt in March 1994, he escaped from drug-rehab-clinic
his body was found on April 8, at his house at Lake Washington, Washington
the autopsy report estimates his death on April 5, 1994
the official version: Cobain committed suicide, shooting himself in the head with a
shotgun
 although the official autopsy report claims suicide as the cause for Cobain’s death
 unanswered questions remain:
-
due to Cobain’s high heroin level he could not have been able to pull the
trigger of his shotgun
the suicide note which was found next to the body was NO suicide letter
but a letter announcing his intention to leave his wife, Seattle and the band
when the shotgun was positioned in the way the autopsy report claims,
Cobain’s arm would have been too short to reach the trigger – he would
have had to fire with his toe BUT he had his shoes still on
 possible motives:
-
Courtney was facing a divorce – Cobain’s alleged first suicide attempt in
March could have been her first attempt to kill her husband
someone was using Cobain’s credit card – attempts to use it stopped when the
dead body was discovered
 until today there has been no forensic evidence which proves Cobain’s death was a suicide
