A chance encounter between Belgium, France and Italy has resulted in "The unexpected 4".
The musical journey of those four young boys, bumped into each other and they get on
common feelings.The quality of the setup and the balance between musicians, the energy
developed as well in standards as in own compositions, the equilibrium of their repertoire and
the outstanding scenic attitude, have motivated the jury of the "Dinant Jazz Nights Young
Talents 2010" to award this exceptional band.

Sabine Kuhlich

Sabine Kuhlich (vocals), Johan Clement (piano), Eric Timmermans (bass), Luc Vanden Bosch (drums)
Sabine Kühlich was born in Eastern Germany, started to love jazz before the wall came down.
Later she studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and at the Manhattan School of Music in
New York City. One CD with mostly own compositions from this NY-time was put out in 2006 followed by two tours with the Jazz-Legend Sheila Jordan. In 2007, she was awarded with the
2d prize of the Third Brussels International Young Jazz singers Competition, organized and
created by The Music Village. Sabine Kühlich is the WINNER of the 2008 Montreux Jazz Voice
Competition.

has reminded many a listener of Joni Mitchell. Those who want to sit back and enjoy
a musical evening will find something. Those who seek something profound and So Far

The Andy Middleton Quartet performs original compositions that combine hard-swinging
contemporary acoustic New York-style jazz with European and world music influences. Each
composition takes the listener on a melodic journey through a varied landscape of deep
harmonic colors and vibrant rhythms.
