Artist Faculty in Jazz Piano Teach applied jazz piano to music majors and non-majors as needed. Enrolled music majors receive twelve lessons per semester; other students may enroll in lessons as minors/non-majors or as a secondary performance area. Teach jazz piano class (a two-semester sequence) to non-pianist jazz majors. This class meets two days per week, but may not be offered every semester. Coach jazz combos as needed Assist in maintaining and expanding an outstanding jazz program Attend student juries at the end of the semester Coordinate with the jazz faculty and piano faculty on issues of curriculum and technique Perform with the USM Faculty Jazz Ensemble QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Outstanding credentials as a performer and teacher.
