Course Objective:
This introductory course provides basic knowledge about International Business and the environment and
operations of International Business. This course delves on major issues of IB, important economic and
business theories, and interesting cases. The course will cover topics related to political, social,
economical and legal environment of international business. Additionally, strategic, structural and
managerial issues of international business are also included in the course content.

Exams
Students are to take three exams during a semester. Exams will be a combination of short and broad
questions. Compositions of points will be announced in class. Exam dates and venue will be announced
well in advance. Students must take the exams on scheduled dates.
Project
Students will be required to conduct a detail analysis of international business potential in a particular
industry of a country. The analysis will cover areas like, PEST analysis, Porter’s Diamond model
analysis, analysis of appropriate entry mode and strategic choice. For this task students will form groups
of five/six. Further details of the project will be discussed in class.

Important Notes:
 Students who will miss the midterm exams for any valid reason will have to sit for
comprehensive exam on the day of the final exam.
 No Make-up for Quiz or Case-study
 Grades will be assigned on the basis of NSU grading policy.
 Remember that cheating or plagiarism in any of the exams or assignments will lead to an F grade.
