Public Library – Mar. 3, 1925 The Public Library Board of West LaFayette met in regular session with the following members present: J. B. Cunningham, Mrs. Ethel McQueen, W. R. Smith, and E. B. Vawter. The secretary's report was read and approved. The following bills were allowed and ordered paid: Am. Railway Express 1.25 Howard Creviston – Janitor 10.00 Decker Bros. - Books 6.80 Eva Dickey – Salary for Feb. 75.00 A. L. Gabler – Books 17.71 The H. R. Hunting Co – Books 23.34 C. W. Harlan – Mending Books 8.05 LaFayette Publishing Co. - Supplies 1.80 W. J. Murphy Co. - Books 18.46 Total – 162.41 The Librarian's report was received and ordered filed. The state of the Contingent Fund was reported as follows: Balance Feb. 2, 1925 – 5.34 Fines collected during mo. - 5.46 Expenditures during mo. - 8.18 Balance, Mar. 3, 1925 – 2.62 The amount of 75.00 was allotted to the book committee to purchase books during the month of March. The Librarian reported need of an assistant. The Board gave consent to secure such service on Saturdays during the month of March at a wage of not more than two dollars per day.
