- BOSIS WILD WILD is the name of the new shotgun from the Bosis family. The WILD is built to withstand
the extreme conditions and use associated with competition and yet have the agility of a
wild beast. From steaming equatorial jungle heat or horizontal frozen rain to constant
exposure to sand and dust, the WILD is built to perform in the most merciless
environment. All elements were considered when developing the WILD so as to assure
our clients of a gun able to shoot 100’s of 1000’s of rounds.
The BOSIS WILD action is a further refinement of the proven Anson and Deeley design
utilizing a robust Boss style locking bolt and fixed selective trigger mechanism with
intercepting safety sear. The WILD is built to the same quality standards as all Bosis guns
with special steels engineered for maximum durability. Finishing is to the same standards
as the Bosis Michelangelo sidelock over and under shotgun. However the WILD is offered
at a lower cost due to the utilization of special monobloc barrels and the Anson design.
The WILD is a true Bosis custom offering and not a mass produced one.
The BOSIS WILD is offered in three different configurations:



The WILD GAME with long trigger guard, solid top and side ribs, fixed chokes,
Prince of Wales stock and as light as 6.6 lb
The WILD SPORT with ventilated side and top ribs, Briley choke tubes and full
pistol grip
The WILD TRAP with ventilated side and top ribs, Briley choke tubes and full pistol
grip
The main features of this shotgun are:
THE NEW BOSIS/ANSON-DEELEY MECHANISM
When Bosis builds his Anson and Deeley type mechanism, he follows the same principles
he uses when he builds his famous Michelangelo sidelock over and under shotgun. The
WILD comes with an indirect percussion single trigger system where the energy is
generated by leaf springs charged by the opening of the barrels. The gun is provided with
a barrel selector like all Anson and Deeley guns and a fixed trigger mechanism solid to the
monolithic forged frame. This system is guaranteed to work under extreme conditions
where the minimum of care is available.
BOSIS MONOBLOC BARRELS
The monobloc system consists of two precision tubes fit and welded to a solid block of
Bosis steel at the breech end. This block of steel is shaped to perfectly house the barrels
on one side and the receiver on the other. This system is extremely robust and reliable.
The
tubes
are
hand
forged
from
solid
bars
of
steel.
The forged barrels are heat treated first and annealed afterwards until the steel reaches a
minimum traction resistance of 800 N/mm2. If you want to shoot Steel Shot we
recommend the use of either Briley choke tubes with suitable choke constrictions. Barrels
with fixed chokes come with chrome-lined chambers while the entire length of barrels with
interchangeable chokes is chrome-lined.
LOCKING SYSTEM
The gun locks through a central locking bolt in high resistance Maraging steel. The gun
opens by pushing the top lever.
EXTRACTION
The gun comes with automatic ejectors
ACTION
The action in 18NiCrMo5 comes with either Tenifer or French Gray finish. The action
bottom can be rounded or left square with traditional large ribs. All surfaces are hand
sculpted and polished.
STOCK
The gun is offered with exhibition Turkish or Russian walnut stock, hand checkered and
polished with “true oil”. The WILD GAME comes with a Prince of Wales stock while the
WILD SPORT and TRAP come with full pistol grips. Pachmayr or Keekez pads are
available on request.
FOREND
The fore-end comes from the same blank as the stock. It is embellished by a very fine
metal tip that frames the released button typical on all fine Bosis shotguns.
