10+2 CADET (B TECH) ENTRY SCHEME
PERMANENT COMMISSION JAN-2011
Applications are invited from unmarried male Candidates to join the prestigious Indian Naval
Academy, Ezhimala, and Kerala under 10+2 cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
Age Limit:-17 to 19 ½ years i.e born between 02 July 1991 & 01 Jan 1994.(Both dates
Inclusive)
Educational Qualifications:
Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) Pattern ) or its equivalent from University/Board with at
least 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50%
marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
Physical Standards
A) Height and Weight: Minimum height Male -157 cms, with correlated weight as per age.
B) Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/12 ,6/12
Correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:Short listed candidate will be called for SSB Interview which is of 5 days, consisting Stage I.(day
one) and Stage II(Four days)
Stage I Tests consist of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests(PDPT)
Stage II Tests consists of Psychological Tests, Group Task Tests, Group Discussion and
Interview. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination.

ADMISSION TO INTEGRATED FIRST DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR Ist SEMESTER
2010-2011
BITS, Pilani invites applications from candidates who have been appeared in BITSAT-2010
and who fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission to the Integrated first degree programmes
namely B.E.(Hons.) ; B.Pharm.(Hons.);M.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc.(Tech.) offered by the Institute at
its Campuses at Pilani, Goa,and Hyderabad.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Only those candidates who have passed their 12th year examination in 2010 or 2009 and have
appeared in BITSAT-2010 will be included in the merit list for admission. Students who have
passed 12th examination in 2008 or earlier are NOT eligible to apply.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admission will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidates for admission will
be based on the score obtained by the candidate in BITSAT-2010
DIRECT ADMISSION OF BOARD TOPPERS:
First rank students of all the Central and State boards in India will be given direct admission to
the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2010 score subject to their fulfilling
the eligibility criteria.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Candidates should apply online at http://www.bitsadmission.com/fd/ and take the printout of the
filled form. The completed application form along with the prescribed fee or Rs.200/- and other
enclosures should be sent to Admissions officer, BITS, Pilani-333031.
LAST DATE
Dead line for receipt of the completed application form at the Admission Office, BITS, Pilani is
5.00p.m.on 30th June 2010.

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
CENTRAL POLICE FORCES (ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS) EXAMINATION, 2010
The Union Public Service Commission will hold an Examination on 24th October, 2010 for
recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in Central Police Forces (CPF) viz. Central
Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force
(CISF),Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY
(a) Age Limits: Candidates must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained
the age of 25 years as on 1st August, 2010
The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other
Backward Classes and certain other categories of candidates
(b) Educational Qualifications: Degree of a recognised University or an equivalent
qualification
.
(c) NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate Holders:
Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. The desirable
qualification will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test Only.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selections will be made on the basis of a Written Examination to be conducted by the
UPSC followed by the Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical
Standards Tests.
HOW TO APPLY
(a) The Candidates, who wish to apply Offline, must apply in the Common Application
Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from
the designated Head Post Offices /Post Offices throughout the country against cash
payment of Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty only).
(b) Candidates can also apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in
EXAMINATION FEE:
(a) Candidates applying Offline (through Common Application Form) are required to pay a
fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp
only.
(b) Candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs.50/-(Rupees Fifty
only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net
banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
(c) All Female candidates /SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of Fee.(OBC
candidates are required to pay full fee).

(b) Online :- The Online Application can be filled up to 21st June,2010 till 11.59 P.M after
which the link will be disabled.
