Renewing Your Mobile Device Subscriptions
Install Updates from the Apps Store First
Get your device connected to the FSUMED wireless, using collegeofmed1 as the password. On your
device, go to the Apps Store and click on Updates at the bottom. It will look to see if any are
available. If any come up, click Update All. Wait until it finishes to go to the next steps. On Androids,
open the Market and check to see if there are any Updates that need to run.
Renew your Epocrates Subscription
1. If you can't remember your password, Epocrates will send your password to your registered e-mail
very quickly. Go to www.epocrates.com and click on “forgot password” and put in your email. You
will receive a reset link in your email to reset your password.
2. On your computer; go to www.med.fsu.edu/library (Log into EZProxy if off campus) then click on
“Mobile Resources” and select “Epocrates” from the left column
of the table and this will take you to their website.
3. Log in with your username and password. (If you do not
remember your password go to step 1)
4. Once you are logged in; click on “Products” tab to get the list
of available subscriptions.
5. Click on “Buy Now” under “Epocrates Essentials” > Select your
platform (iPhone, Android, etc.)
6. Make sure to select “1 Year” option in this step.
7. Click on green “Buy Now” button and it will take you to the
checkout page. You should see “zero” dollars as your total here and click on “Checkout” button and
“Confirm” on the next step.

8. Now sign out of your Epocrates account on your computer and get on your iPod/iPhone.
9. Run Epocrates on your device, swipe to the most left screen of icons and select “Updates” and
“Update Now”. Once updated you will get a message on your device indicating you have updated
successfully.
Renew your PEPID Subscription
You must first re-register with PEPID. Even if you have registered in the past, you still have to reregister using your same email and password used originally with PEPID and select your device. This is
the key to renew PEPID on your mobile device.
1. Go to www.med.fsu.edu/library and click on Mobile Resources, select PEPID.
2. You will get to the “PEPID PDA Usage Agreement” page. Click on the link.
3. You will be prompted to log into EZProxy. Log in with your FSU College of Medicine user ID and
password.
4. Once you log in, the PEPID registration will pop up. If you have registered before, make sure to use
the same email address and password to re-register. Do not forget to select student or faculty
and also make sure to check the right device platform before submitting. (If you do not remember
your password, you will need to go to http://www.pepid.com and click on “My Account” tab on the

top right of the home page and select “Forgot User Name or Password”. Put in your PEPID
registered e-mail and you will receive your password in the e-mail very shortly.)
5. After you submit, you will see a message that says; “PEPID Subscription Sign Up. Your PEPID
subscription has been processed. You will receive an e-mail shortly with more information.” At this
point, you DO NOT have to wait for that e-mail to install PEPID. You are finished registering
your product and renewed your subscription.
6. Now it is time to update your PEPID content on your Apple Mobile Device: Find PEPID icon on your
device and click on it. You will see a blue “+” sign on the top right of your screen. Click on it and
enter your e-mail and password registered with PEPID. This will take you to “Product Download”
page.
7. Select “PEPID: DICT Suite” and install your dictionary. Say “OK” once installed and now select
“PEPID: CRC Suite”. The amount of time for the installation varies with the speed of your
connection. So please be patient while PEPID is transferring the medical databases from their
server. Say “OK” again and you are finished installing PEPID on your Apple Mobile Device.
Android users register the same way in steps 1 through 5. Then run PEPID in your device and log in.
Click on CRC Suite and Dictionary in order and install them.
Clinical Evidence (UCentral) Renewal
Simply run your UCentral application on your iPhone/iPod and it will update automatically if there is an
update. If it does not update itself, there is an update button on the top right. Simply click the button
when connected to internet and it will update.
DynaMed Renewal
Request a DynaMed code from Terri.Johnson@med.fsu.edu or your regional campus IT coordinator.
Once you get the email that contains your new DynaMed serial number, run SkyScape application on
your device and click on “tools” at the bottom right corner. Then click on “Install Resource”. Put in the
serial number that was sent to you in the email and click “continue”. You will see that DynaMed is
available to install. Click install and you have updated your DynaMed.
*** If you do not remember your username and password for your SkyScape account, go to
www.skyscape.com and click on forgot password and retrieve it.
Harrison’s Practice Renewal
Simply run your Harrison’s Practice application on your iPhone/iPod and it will update automatically if
there is an update. If it does not update itself, there is an update button on the top right. Simply click
the button when connected to internet and it will update.
Pediatric Care Online Mobile (PCO) Renewal
Simply run your Pediatric Care Online application on your iPhone/iPod and it will update automatically if
there is an update. If it does not update itself, there is an update button on the top right. Simply click
the button when connected to internet and it will update.
ePSS Tool
No renewal. Update recommended. Run ePSS on your device and click on update.

Essential Evidence Plus
No iPhone or Android version available. Access online through Safari. Once registered, does not
require renewal that we know of. If you have not registered and set up a shortcut on your home
screen, here are the instructions:
Register: You have to access this online, while you have a signal/wireless. They haven’t
created an app, but instead, a PDA formatted web site. You need to register and set up a
username and password with them while on campus either at one of the regional campuses or
at the main campus. EZProxy doesn’t work. Here are the instructions for that.
Step 1: Go to the Essential Evidence Plus homepage (www.essentialevidenceplus.com)
Step 2: Click on “My Account” in the top menu
Step 3: Click on “Register” in the
“Access Your Personal Profile” box
Step 4: Fill out the “Personal Profile
Registration” form
Step 5: Confirmation
Once you have established a Username and Password, EE+ can be accessed anywhere
on your mobile device by simply logging-in on your iPhone web browser Safari.
On the Phone/iPod: You can set up a shortcut icon on the desktop/Home Screen. Open
Safari, and go to www.eeplus.mobi/m , then hit the + and select Add to Home Screen.
Change the Essential Evid…. To EE+. And put it with the rest of your medical apps icons.
