Dear Educator,
This letter is being sent to you to announce the 21st Annual Society of Plastics Engineers
“Wonders of Plastics” Essay Contest. The purpose of this competition is to increase
awareness about the many outstanding things that plastics do for society and for the
environment. It is our hope that you could interest your students in participating in this
educational contest. Wisconsin High School and elementary grade students living in all counties
served by the Milwaukee SPE Section are eligible to enter. This area includes almost the entire
state of Wisconsin.
There will be multiple winners, with the winner of the first place essay receiving a prize of
$250. Additional cash prizes will be awarded for the best runner-up entries.
Please encourage as many students as possible to submit an entry. Complete contest rules and
other related information can be found at www.milwaukeespe.org.
1. All entries must be received by deadline of Feb 28th , 2014
2. For contest eligibility, mail entry form and mail two (2) copies of each entry to:
