Applications for artwork will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. CST Monday, Sept 1,
2006. A juried panel will review the applications submitted and make a selection.
Chosen artists will be notified by September 8, 2006 and will be required to sign
a contract agreeing to the terms of the Program.
A $1,000 stipend will be paid to artists who are selected and may be used to pay
forexpenses associated with the design, fabrication and delivery of the artwork as
outlined in the Artist Agreement Form.
All artwork will be on display for the timeframe noted in the Artist Agreement
Form and will be available for purchase by the general public. Northern State
University Sculpture Project will coordinate all financial transactions relating to
the sale of artwork. A 25% commission will be paid to Northern State University
Sculpture Project upon sale of the artwork during the time period the artwork is
displayed as part of the NSU Sculpture Project.
Applications on this form must be received by
4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2006.
Applications will be accepted in the following formats:
Paper format: 1 original and 3 copies of information outlined above
Electronic format: 1 CD, clearly labeled including artist contact information on the
CD cover and CD disk.
Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. Applications will not
be returned and will become the property of Northern State University. No
application fee is required.
The following is the 2006 Schedule of Events:
September 1, 2006: Application due 4:30 p.m. CST
September 8: Notification of selected artists
September 15-25, 2006: Delivery and installation of artwork
September 29, 2006: Opening night reception Time TBA
September 2006 – May 2008 Artwork on public display
May 2008 Removal of artwork
