OGD Vhvac Inc. has taken an “ordinary PTAC - Packaged Terminal Air Conditioner” and made it
extraordinary! Applying their Patented Optical & Graphical Programming (OP) Technology has
given PTACS a new level of performance. OP has significantly improved energy efficiency,
lowered operating noise, enhanced climate conditioning and more. With OP, PTACs are no longer
noisy, poor and inefficient… when upgraded with the patented OP PTACs can deliver superior value
and new customer satisfaction. With so many “Improvements” OGD Vhvac renamed their new line
of PTACs: I-TACC; “Intelligent - Terminal Air Climate Conditioner.”

1. Adaptive Speed Indoor fan – More than two speed and more than just variable speed. The Indoor fan is
upgraded with patented optical programming to give the fan “Adaptive or Intelligent Speed Control and
Adjust.” This dynamic and continuous fan speed adjust is self proportional to the evaporator coil BTU
output. This is one of the primary differences why OGD’s PTAC is renamed an ITACC for - Intelligent
Terminal Air Climate Conditioner. More than just an ordinary “AC – Air Conditioner”; “ACC is an Air
Climate Conditioner”. It upgrades much more than the energy efficiency of ordinary PTACs, ACC provides
a key boost to indoor climate and gives tighter and better temp and humidity control. Adaptive and
Intelligent air flow optimizes heat and cool transfer, gives quieter performance and saves energy.
2. Electronic Air Ionizer & Purifier - A built in electronic ionizer combines with all the many upgraded
ITACC functions to give air cleaning features often only found with separate and expensive room air
cleaners. This safe, clean, quiet and low energy power feature improves the room air quality and can help
remove many of the pollutants harmful to humans. It is ozone and UV free and requires virtually no
maintenance. More reasons why the ITACC is much more than a PTAC!
3a. Intake Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Room Air Filters - High density special purpose hi-flow “HEPA
Type” filters, do more than the simple cheap air filters found in ordinary PTACs which only help protect the
equipment. The ITACC special IAQ air filters still filter room air to protect the equipment but more
importantly they also filter room air to protect and comfort people. Most PTACs have only low cost screen
type equipment filters that do little more than collect large dust particles. These filters are usually placed in
the return air flow only. OGD’s ITACC filter is designed and treated to do much more. These remove dust,
allergens, molds, spores and help clean the indoor room air for the living room occupants, humans, pets and
plants. Imagine a hotel room where the HVAC system actually cleans the air, makes it fresher, smell better
and it really is… that is what the special IAQ air filters in an ITACC do!
3b. Discharge Indoor Air Filters. Another extra is OGD’s I-TACC has double sets of room air filters. In
addition to having the IAQ filters in the return room air, it also has a second set of better filters in the
discharge air, so contaminants from inside or outside your room are filtered in an I-TACC. Mold, mildew,
smoke and odors so common with PTACs in poor quality room air environments can be significantly
reduced if not eliminated with these IAQ air filters and especially when coupled with the electronic air
purifier. This dual IAQ filter and air ionizer combo, give new value, purpose and features that greatly
enhance the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) of the ITACC over ordinary PTACs.
4. Air Flow Temperature Sensor – Is an added analog temperature sensor to monitor and feedback climate
conditions. This sensor is factory Opto Programmed and set to respond to and track both heating and
cooling output air. This dual Hot & Cold Sensor provides continuous and real-time analog feedback to the
ACC silver standard unit. The silver standard unit interprets the low power safe sensor input signal
(actually an opto program) and converts it into a high voltage power output to the fans and more. By
directly measuring and converting airflow rate as a function of actual discharge air temperature the I-TACC
is constantly optimizing the match of airflow to air temp.

5. OGD’s Adaptive Climate Control Silver Standard Unit - This is the heart and brains of OGD’s new ITACC. This small patented “Silver Standard unit” is conveniently placed inside a PTAC to interface with
its existing controls. This simple, single “box” contains all the intelligence, processing, programming,
interfaces, conversions and power drivers that make the new I-TACC possible. The ACC Silver Standard
has multiple Opto processors that let it do multiple concurrent control functions giving powerful new
features to PTACs but in a simple and reliable way (see A1 Silver Standard Description for more). The
improved operation of both indoor and outdoor fan motors is all done with this single OP unit but it also
directly affects and improves compressor, heating element and coil operations as well.
6. Manual Override Speed Control - The I-TACC does have programmed intelligent control and
improved climate but there just may be that time when YOU want to readjust the fan /airflow as you see fit.
With ordinary PTACs there are only two fan speeds that you can choose and the two speeds are usually a so
called low speed that is less than 15% lower than high full speed. With the I-TACC you can vary the airflow
like you can vary your TV volume (imagine if your TV only had two high volume settings like most
PTACs.) On the I-TACC control panel is a convenient analog knob that allows you to change the fan speed
from very low approx 30% (e.g. it is down by 70%) to full speed (~100%) or anywhere in between.
Although intervention may be only on rare occasions of needing to adjust fan speed, again the I-TACC
gives you much more in the way of choice, quiet and comfort
7. New Moisture Removal Techniques
a. New Outdoor Fan blades – Ordinary PTACs collect the coil moisture into a drain pan. In older PTACs
this collected moisture just overflows and drains out the rear of the PTAC. If it gets clogged or does not get
removed this standing water can become a leaking problem or worse a breeding place for mold, mildew and
more. In some newer PTAC models this pan collected moisture or condensate is sometimes picked up by
special designed outdoor fan blades and blown onto or out the condenser coil. This helps get rid of the
standing pan water and can also help cool the condenser coil. OGD’s new I-TACC uses this newer fan
blade technique on the condenser coil but much more. Another added ways to cut down on the pan
collected moisture and to help PTAC operation is:
b. Special Sponge Compressor Sleeve Cover is used to help liquid cool the normally hot running
compressor. A compressor jacket made of special sleeve material helps siphon or wick up pan condensate
water into the sponge like material. This moistened sleeve surrounding the compressor has several added
benefits. The compressor is positioned in the outside airflow intake stream, as this air moves across the
sponge it helps to evaporate the moisture in it and as it does it both cools the compressor and helps disperse
and absorb the pan collected moisture into the exhaust air flow.
8. Compressor Noise Reduction Sleeve – The above Liquid Cooled Sleeve is also designed as a noise
reducing agent. The special sponge like material helps absorb not only the pan moisture but the compressor
noise. Often the compressor can be one of the largest contributors of PTAC noise. Quieting its operation
without altering or harming its function is another I-TACC plus. Whenever the compressor is operating this
special sleeve not only helps lower its noise but can help it stay cooler and absorb and eliminate pan
condensate.
9. Adaptive Speed Outdoor Fan - The outdoor fan is another one of the biggest contributors of PTAC
noise. With it co-controlled and powered by the ACC its speed is no longer just full on or full off regardless
of actual cooling need. In OGD’s I-TACC the outdoor fan will now ramp up its speed only as needed and
gently in proportion to the amount of BTU exchange occurring across the evaporator and condenser coils.
On average the I-TACC fan speed is much lower, a lower fan speed it means much lower fan noise as
radiated noise is proportional to fan speed.

10. Outdoor Air Equipment Filters – The I-TACC also has outdoor filters to protect outdoor PTAC
equipment. These are extra equipment type filters that are used in the exhaust air flow to help keep the
condenser coil cleaner and free of many even worse dirt and contaminants found outdoors. These extra
outside Air Filters keeping the condenser coil free of debris gives better heat transfer efficiency for
maximum indoor cooling. With these filters and screens being outside and on the coils sides they are easily
accessible, cleanable and maintainable more so than the standard indoor equipment filters.
11. Custom Colors, Images & Photos –
a. Indoor Cover - Choose from a list of standard colors that will help you add a nice piece of furniture
to your room décor versus a bland piece of equipment. Imagine, finally a choice of PTAC colors other than
plain vanilla. A growing list of standard colors and much more is available for your choosing; special
orders, custom colors, even images and photos can be chosen. A quiet and pleasantly color matched ITACC can enhance your room décor instead of awkwardly destroying it. Yes, you can still have plain
vanilla, but how about charcoal, stainless steel, rosewood or your favorite image?? Once OGD’s I-TACC
gives you much more than an ordinary PTAC.
b. Wall Sleeve Insulated and Colored - Special noise absorbing material is used to line the wall
sleeve to help quiet the compressor, fan noise and vibrations for you and your neighbor. Some color choice
is also available for the sleeve as well.
12. Variable Heating / BTU Capacity – Another planned feature of OGD’s I-TACC is to provide variable
and better controlled heat output. The current heating elements in competing PTACs, much like their fans,
are either full on or off, again with two output levels a High and low. The heating elements in either high or
low can significantly dwarf all other energy consumers in a PTAC and are notoriously inefficient and
energy wasteful.
Similar to how the ACC is able to dynamically and gently ramp up fan speed, so too can OGD’s
same, “Inside ACC Silver Standard” do the same for the heating elements. These are powered not by a
harsh on and off switch but by the soft start and gradual ramp-up programmed into OGD’s I-TACC. Now
the heating coil output, is driven directly in sympathy with the fan motor air flow available.
13. Variable Outdoor Air Louver – Most PTACs have an outdoor air intake flap to allow for the
introduction of some outside fresh air (presumably fresh). These intake flaps usually have a manual lever
that pulls them fully closed or pushed to a fixed preset opening. Once set these cannot be changed without
manual intervention. OGD’s I-TACC with its variable fan and airflow control also provides for hands free
and dynamic operation of this feature. The I-TACC has a flap that can be set to default to a percentage open
when the unit is operating in its low idle mode (no heat or cool bringing in just a breath of fresh air (if the
user chooses this flap can be set closed also.) But as the I-TACC calls for more cooling and more airflow
this flap automatically closes until the cooling demand passes, once it does the flap resets to its preset
opening
14. Remote Controlled Room Management System - RMS - Another planned option for OGD’s ITACC product. Much more than a remote thermostat, this system is more like a building management
system with many settable features and controls, but for only the I-TACC room not the entire building. This
gives the individual person their own direct control of their own comfort. There are fan on, fan off,
compressor control, wireless thermostat, auto setback and many more features that are listed in a separate
document.
15. Full 3 Year Replacement Warranty - Many competing PTAC sellers only offer a 1 year parts and
