Coquitlam School District No. 43 Marketing Manager- International Education This position is being advertised internally and externally concurrently. Applications are sought for the position of Marketing Manager –International Education. As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver. The school district has a population of 33,000 students with approximately 3500 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff. The district is also recognized for one of the largest K – 12 international student programs in Canada led by a dynamic experienced team. Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager shall be carried out in accordance with the School Act, School Act Regulations and Board Policy. In the performance of those duties, the Marketing Manager will report to the Principal – International Education. The successful candidate: Is responsible for coordination of a marketing plan, strategy and adjustments to reflect changing needs in the area of International Education. Assists the department to improve recruitment and retention of international students through strong program recognition and other marketing initiatives. Builds strategic partnerships and alliances. Coordinates data collection and statistical analysis activities related to international student programs. Designs, develops, implements and delivers international teacher/principal training programs. Is responsible for working with international delegations to ensure positive and mutually beneficially relationships and experiences are created and maintained. QUALIFICATIONS: Post-secondary education in International Education, Sales, Marketing and/or Business Administration combined with relevant experience in International Education is preferred. Sound knowledge and experience in International Education and the demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships. Evidence of continued professional growth and development. Ability to create and implement a detailed International Education marketing strategy and strong market identity. Ability to lead and manage teams. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present concepts and ideas clearly and concisely to a variety of international audiences. Sound organizational, analytical and time management skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with an international clientele to identify and target information to meet their needs. Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required, including the ability to obtain a passport and international travelers visas as required.
