Surgical Services – announcement that effective July 1, 2011, Cardinal will discontinue it
Protegrity SLK with Neu-Thera surgical gloves, PP-OR-627. Cardinal recommends either
Protegrity with Neu-Thera latex powder-free surgical gloves or Ultrafree™ latex powder-free
surgical gloves as comparable replacements for Protegrity SLK surgical gloves.

Surgical Services – announcement of a GNYHA Enhancement for Vascular Grafts (PP-OR-723)
with Atrium Medical Corporation. All GNYHA members will receive tier 4 volume aggregation
pricing. This agreement is effective April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2014
Surgical Services – announcement that effective May 1, 2011, C.R. Bard has added FIXT and
Alyte T products to their Surgical Incontinence Contract, PP-OR-538. The FIXT is a deep suturing
device for small spaces, and the AlyteT is a Y-shaped mesh construct designed specifically for
sacrocolposuspension/sacrocolpopexy procedures.
Surgical Services – announcement of new agreements for Laryngeal Mask Airways. A laryngeal
mask airway is an alternative airway device used for anesthesia and airway support. It consists
of an inflatable mask and connecting tube. It is inserted blindly into the pharynx, forming a lowpressure seal around the laryngeal inlet and permitting gentle positive pressure ventilation. All
parts are latex-free.
